    Having a contest amond friends...

So me and a few guys from work are doing a contest but we are unsure about an equitable way of doing it.
One guy is about 17% bf, 20%, me at 17%, and last at 25%. If we just did straight bf% loss the 25% guy has the most to lose.

Any suggestions on how to even this out? Waist measurements before and after? Whoever 'looks' the best after? We're going to be putting up prob $100+ each for the winner so I want it as fare as possible.

Also we will all be getting professionally calipered at the same time so no cheating can be done!

    Thanks!

yeah i agree make it a strongest guy per body weight comp. That would separate the men from the magazine cover models ....

As easy as that would be its not what we are going for. Two of us are going to Mexico in mid feb and want to slim up a bit.

Also one guy can bench 500+ squat 600+ and dead 700ish so it's kind of hard to compete with that

I dont like the lifting idea, it promotes injury. Your all friends so stick with the biggest looser style, body fat in this case not weight. This way no matter what you all win also.

I dont know if he has juiced but he has been lifting for 25 years or so, (he's 44), and has been really dedicated to fitness and health for the majority of that time. He used to compete in powerlifting and he is 6'5 287lbs. So a big guy!!!
Makes my previous bulked weight of 6'2.5 and 236 look tiny!

I think bf loss is the best way as well. That way I can use diet manipulation more to my advantage (aka the minds on this board!)

I would do a race to a certain bf. Let's say 10% cause even.at 17% thats a long ways off. And yes the 25% guy will lose so so fast if he becomes dedicated.
Way harder to go from 15 to 10 then 25 to 15

Problem with the biggest loser idea is that Billy bob coming in all fat will have the biggest advantage in bf% reduction. Arnold Jr. will have the least advantage, since he's already picked all the low hanging fruit, and every 1% BF reduction will be a huge effort.

If you are all relatively the same BF%, then the biggest loser would be a good idea.

Pysical comparisons of before and after to see who has had the best body change is the only fair way!

The 25% guy has the advantage if you are doing most improved body comp

What if every % point was worth a different value?

    21-25 1 point
    16-20 2.5 points
    11-15 3
    9-10 4
    7-8 5

So if I went from 16 to 9 that would be 22 points
    And 25 to 15 would be 21.5
    ??

Keep thinking and working on it. I think you may be onto something. I'm sure there is a way to make it fare.
