What do you guys do when your gym is excessively HOT????
Soooo i have been a member of this gym since i moved to Calfor about 6 months now. The gym is always hot as hell. It appears to be an old warehouse or airport hanger that was converted to a gym.
i emailed the owners and the GM and they have not responded....
anyone have any good experience how to handle this so i do not alienate myself....?Last edited by Anabolic4Health; 07-09-2013 at 06:29 AM.

i would cancel my membership. Yes you have a contract, but they have to meet responsibilities too.
i would send them a letter certified mail stating that if they dont resolve the issue in a set period of time that you consider them in breach of contract. If people can't tell your on steroids then your doing them wrong

I like the door propping idea. I don't usually go the blood and guts route on stuff like this. You have to assume they know theres a problem and aren't motivated to do something about it. Some hardcore PL gyms seem to take pride in having old equipment and no AC as part of the rite of passage or something. Have been a member of one and read about a few like this. If you read enough articles in the muscle mags of people being interviewed, they will sometimes reference gyms like this.

Wear only a speedo next time you go to workout.

i was at a home gym places when I lived in NJ and their air conditioning broke and it was during the summer. The place was a sweat box. It was like working out in a sauna. Anyhow they ended up shutting down bc it would have been a huge loss to fix lol.....

How much is the termination fee if u cancel within the 12 months?
Cause in honesty if its not leaving a hole in your pockek i would just consider canceling membership, or as gixxer has been stating tell them they have not met up to basic housekeeping of keeping the place cool, when clearly you have asked time after time to do it. They are just being negleftful and its not right, you paying for something that your not getting.

Can you get some of the other members to complain, maybe they'll listen if there are several?

As a form of protest, you should leave an upper-decker in a toilet in the locker room.
