omg, you arent the guys that watch actual combat footage on youtube and then post comments about the videos you see saying how you know more about tactics than soldiers being fired at with live ammo cause you have 3 years of combat experience on Call of Duty or any other war games?
lol sorry I had too.

Hell yeh!
Maybe yall can advise me what i need? My wife and daughter are snow skiing with our church (im working - figures huh ) and she is the internet hook up person.
I have high speed internet access now thru my phone company. They said all i need is a router. Is this true? For gaming?? I have an xbox 360 with headphones but i have been out of the game since 2010.
Someone help me get hooked up! I figured best buy would be the best place to go? Better than wal mart??

Whoever is coming to install your service will/should hook everything up. You have two options for the Xbox- Wireless and Ethernet cable. Ethernet is good if the Xbox is located in the same room as your router. If not then you are going to want to go with wireless. Some internet companies install a wireless router for you (Verizon-Fios) so you might not need to buy one. If you really have no idea what your doing then try throwing the tech a 30 spot and tell him you need both your computer and xbox fully up and running and I am sure he will comply. Although in reality he should do it for free but its not required of him.

If your going to go wireless invest in a good router. I was playing with a cheap one and when I upgraded it was night and day.

the guy at the phone company said they arent sending anyone to my house that i can get what i need on my own as opposed to paying them more for something i can get at wal mart. im thinking best buy though. my phone service is currently hooked up. he said all i need is a router. do yall know if this is correct??

Just to give you a heads up so you dont drive yourself crazy. There should be a DSL/internet light that needs to be SOLID green. If its not then you have service issues not a connection issue and need to contact your service provider.
