Depressing realization...
Turns out I bit of more then I can chew...
Probably will hve to move out of our house and go to a cheaper apartment because the monthly payment is too high and along with new insurance about to start and new taxes I'm fvcked. Just rly pisses me off and is depressing cuz I feel like I'm taking away a lot from my wife by having to downgrade. She says she understands and all but still sucks.
Just needed to let out a tad...

Dude...your young and newely married. These things are part of the trials and tribulations of life. The old phrase "that which does not kill you, will make you stronger". Believe me...it's true. My wife and I married very young and went through very difficult times! We are soooo much stronger for it than those we have seen fall into good jobs and not having to experience tuff times. They tend to focus on the little things to much because they have not experienced hardship!
Concentrate on making each other happy...not about what you have or don't have!

I was driving home yesterday after cooking a good meal for me and the girlfriend. I started thinking about all the prep I did the spicing and going to the store for the food and heating it on the stove. Then I thought about what it would have been like if I had no arms no hands to do this with. Yeah I probably could have used my feet and teeth with some practice but it would have been dangerous with the stove and difficult to spice the food and I would have had to be brave enough to go to the supermarket with no arms and people staring at me. So I think all in all we are really lucky and have to appreciate what we do have. I ate steak and shrimp the other day. A few hundred years ago the only people eating a meal like that would have been some kind of royalty like a noble or king.

It is what it is. Can't beat yourself up over it. You learned something. Use it in life now. All the disappointments do lead to joy and happiness with the understanding of what to do different in the future. It's called being a man and a husband. You are still both. Make the best of it and move on to better days. .

Sorry to hear Buttery. But everyone is right, things like this do happen and all you can do is learn from it and move on. And as CDP mentioned, there is always someone else worse off.
Watched this the other day.. Makes it hard to complain when little things happen to us in North America.

Shit happens man.. The economy sux and the banking industry is raping people left and right. Your wife married you for you, not your house. Use these negative feelings as motivation to buy an even nicer place in the future.
Keep your head up and keep busting ass. The future will be brighter.

Been there and done that. I went from a 2500 square foot house to a 900 square foot townhouse. Sucks, but this is what I can afford.

Peaks and valleys. The valleys help you appreciate the peaks in life.
Hang in there and good luck.

There are so many people who over extend themselves to have more toys, bigger home etc. You should feel like more of a man for making these changes and for not putting both of your futures in financial jeopardy. Good luck to you!

I really appreciate everything y'all, I rly do. My plan now is to bank all the money I'll save to put ourself ahead later. Similar to a quote I've seen a few times "suffer now, and live the rest of your life a champion"
What really made me smile was when we finally made the decision my wife said, " hey with all the money we will save we can put away for a home and u can do more with your bodybuilding to go pro and take care of us with that!!!"
Lol she rly is my number one supporter an fan lol
But rly thank u all again. It's rly helped to pick up my mood and think positively for the future.

Sorry to hear. You should def try to sell before you go late (if thats a possibility) as mortgage lates on your credit can cause issues getting a new mortgage down the road. Have you tried refinancing? Rates are so low unless showing income is the issue.

It's like inner household restructuring. . . . I still have more cash now then I did before when I had my mega castle house. Smaller place, but all of my shit is in check and I can afford to get juiced. Can't complain too much.

Man....
This is NOTHING.
NOTHING at ALL.
Only if you LET IT BE SOMETHING.
In life you take your fvcing lumps.
Think about how many people out there are waaaaaaaaaaay worse than you.
It's easy for me to tell u this cause it's not me going thru it.
I understand that.
But you gotta man up and FIGHT.
Don't back down.
Get your money right and start over.
You gotta live....can't just roll over and die.
Does this suck??
Hell yeah it sucks.
Are you man enough to fix it and make sure it's the last time??
time will tell.
I don't even know you---but I'll bet you can.
Just by admitting you bit off more than you can chew shows you got the goods to make this a better situation.
Good luck fella!

Aaaah. The many times I've had to downgrade. Home, car.. you name it. It's just a little speed bump my friend, you will get passed it. Best of luck and keep your chin up. You still have your wife

Unfortunately we live in a materialistic world mots of the time, but obviously your wife has not gotten married to you because she thought u were rich or u thought you would buy her nice things, no.
She fell in love with the same bloke who she saw good qualities in, dont cut yourself short and doubt yourself, you have gotten her and yourself this far, and she still is beside you. Think of this as just a little speed hump, know that when u do pull through it not only will you become stronger as a man, but your relationship will to, guaranteed. Keep your head up, and remember there are people alot more worse off.

I have a couple ideas where you could make a few extra bucks....
Realist: A person who sees things as they truly are. A practical person. The pessimist complains about the wind; The optimist expects it to change; The realist adjusts the sails. — William Arthur Ward
