I like several types of music, including country.

My favorite country is the late 80's through the mid / late 90's era.

I second that. I have a hard time trying to listen to any country past the late 90's. I'm a fan of the classics though. Sitting around a campfire with some Willie, Waylon, hank, George jones/strait, buck Owens, hell even some patsy cline, and some cold beer! That's a hell of a night!

haha bear I am only 26. Besides the classics like, Cash, Waylon, Willie, Kris k, Hank jr(older stuff), Paycheck, etc. I also like Hellbound glory, .357 string band, Hank 3, Shooter Jennings is ok, turnpike troubadors, Rachel brooks, trampled by turtles etc.

Right now the most outlaw thing you can do in Nashville is sing country music-Marty stuart.

I know where you guys are coming from but we can't turn the clock back and the new country yeah its a lot more pop and a lot more accessible you know a lot of trios with two abercrombie dudes and a pretty girl singing and whatnot but I don't think we're going to go back to hardcore country anytime soon. I have adapted and gotten used to it. Garth Brooks is a good example he was kind of the beginning of the end of hardcore country and I hate typing that because I like Garth Brooks but he really made country mainstream imo from what I saw him and Alan Jackson. (I do not like Alan Jackson's music).

My favorite Garth Brooks song is Shameless

I can just really relate with the lyrics

Saw both Tim and Kenney in concert this summer in Chicago. Was awesome... Tim was a better performer live but its hard to beat Kenney's songs.
