    Who works out without caffeine?

And if you do, what do you take instead? I don't mean steroids either...I'm trying to cut caffeine out of my diet and it is very difficult because my workouts have suffered. Is this something I will most likely adjust to?

You don`t want any caffeine in your diet? I couldnt live like that lol. I like pre-workout drinks like NO XPLODE but they certainly do have caffeine in them.

Adjust my diet in what way? And I want caffeine in my diet in the WORST way but I've been having sleep problems and my central nervous system is a little of out of whack still from past recreational drug mistakes, I need to be healthy for a while. Used to love taking noxplode but it has 200mgs per scoop! And I never took level scoops....god knows how much I was taking.

I rarely take in caffeine period. And I don't take anything before my workouts. Its just the way I've been since I started training.

I was the same way with caffeine. Although I don't drink coffee at all I would need a caffeine pill (200mg) to wake me up every morning. Recently I invested in a juicer. Once daily I juice broccoli, celery, spinach, kale, cucumber, carrots, apples and 1/3 of a pineapple. All in all it ends up being about 12 servings of veggies and 3-5 of fruit. I noticed a good energy boost since I have been doing this. I don't need caffeine in the mornings anymore and I only occasionally take it pre workout now.

I end up yielding about 800ml of juice I split it into 400 and 400. I have the first with chicken and rice and the second with my next meal whatever that may be. Honestly without this I would never be able to get my servings of veggies in; when I drink it all I can taste is the pineapple and apples.

I like this idea except for the apples & pineapple, these fruits are loaded with simple carbs.

I'm not a caffeine drinker or user of any kind and I have never ever used these crazy stupid pre-workout powders every kid around the gym seems to be walking around on.

I don't understand this fascination with pre-workout powders, pre-workout this, and pre-workout that. Why? They're just a bunch of overloaded caffeine products, and relying on something like that to get you through your workout is recipe for disaster. They also provide no gains in the sense of progress over time, it's just a stupid stimulant that gives you some energy before your workout. If you NEED something to GIVE you energy to get what you feel is a proper workout in, then you need to re-evaluate your training and nutrition. I can get up, go on with my day, and hit the gym when the time comes and have the energy to get through it all with no problem.

I get asked "what to you have before you work out?" and my response is "chicken breast and a bowl of oatmeal" because it's true. That's it, nothing else. Maybe IGF-1 if i'm using it at the time, but that's not a stimulant.

I know its not ideal but currently I'm bulking, If I was cutting I would probably re think that. Also I just started juicing, I'm sure over time I'll phase them out for better alternatives. Right now I'm being a pvssy and just happy with the fact that I'm actually getting some veggies in me lol.

OP if your looking for healthier option I would try this, but keep in mind that it is not cheap.

I don't know how you guys can function without caffeine, anymore.... For me, it started when I was tired one day and needed to workout. So I drank a Redbull. Fast forward a few years to where I am right now, and I'm swallowing caffeine pills just to get out of bed, energy drinks all day and I pound pre-workouts like Jack3d or White Flood before my workout.

Meeee, well I like monsters and sometime will take one during my workout but not so much for energy just for taste. Coffee however gives me a much better workout even for legs, go figure.

I have anxiety so I stay away from caffeine. I actually get anxiety attacks sometimes when I'm working out so I take a Valium. Prescription of course for my anxiety.

I take pre wo's sometimes, sometimes I take 400mg caffeine, and othertimes nothing at all. I do HAVE to have a cup of coffee in the am because I get a headache without it. Prob because I have drank coffee since about 14 years old, so about 20+ years.

Cialis pre-workout. Sometimes I'll have a cup of coffee, but I know that's not what you want to hear. I used to be a caffeine junkie, but now I just have a couple of McDs sweet teas a day and a cup of coffee in the am. Normally I don't need a boost pre-workout.

I tried a caffeine drink once. I drank one at 11am. I was twitchy, nervous, and sketched out until 6pm. Never again.

sounds like you should go clean for a while and let your receptors recover... your workouts will suffer regardless, so you might as well get on healing first

Essentially that's what it is. It isn't really iced coffee, its more of a caffeine loaded slushy.

If they sold a cherry slurpee with that much caffeine, I'd be putting their kids through college.

It took me about 1.5 weeks to feel 'normal' after cutting out all caffeine. I enjoyed working out a lot more. I felt a lot better after working out, etc.
