Add to this, many counties out here don't allow concealed carrying permits. I guess that means stay indoors and keep yourself locked up because you can't defend yourself outside your home and the police can't seem to keep up with it.

Yeah, Orange County has really taken a 180 on their position with CCW's. Used to be one the better counties to get one in.
The guy did what he did because he knew the odds of anyone being able to defend themselves against him were slim. He would be talking a different tone when someone like me has their Kimber starring right back at him.
