It goes back to an old math question that was asked a loooong time ago by my brother. And i recall that the speed at which an elevator travels has little to no impact on you as the matter inside. Gravity is not affected. But i honestly dont know what the mathematical equation is to prove it.
He also asked this question, "If you were falling in an elevator and you knew
exactly when it was going to hit the ground,
could you not simply jump up real quick before impact and not be injured?" Its along the same lines.
