    Damn that looks painful!

Are you taking the percocets on a full stomach? I found that had helped with my nausea greatly.

Hey C82 I just got in from down southern MO way and just logged in here to see your postings. Wow! Once I get settled in I'll pm you some Questions or maybe just post them here so anyone else who may be interested in this procedure can learn. Give me a few hours or even till Saturday but yes I have some questions for you about this procedure and since you are our new guinea pig sort of speak, lol then only you can answer the Q's honestly and not be swayed by BS stories that someone may have told you about all this.. So far I'm a little concerned about your pain level as they told me it did not hurt as they numbed the areas very well. But it must be the after effects you are getting your pain from huh? Anyhow I'll get back to you a little later. And thanks for posting about this.

Yikes! That looks painful. How many hairs did they do on this procedure? And did you go with Bosley? And how do you feel today? Still feel the need to take pain meds for the pain? Is your head still bleeding anywhere? I was told to expect to be off work for one week is that what they told you? And if you don't mind saying, how much was this?

lol it was but definitely not as bad as it looks....surprisingly none of the top part of my head hurts at all....im fact it never did....only the back where they took the donor hair and stitched up....the day of when I got home was the worst but with the meds that subsided quickly....yesterday wasnt to bad as far as pain goes....I was just a little nauseous from the meds....today it doesnt hurt per se but just a tight feeling where the stitches are. My head really never bleed more than if you've had a cut and covered with a bandaid and the blood residue on the bandaid....however it did bleed when they did the donor area....not profusely though....they cut half the area and stitched that then did the other side....didnt feel the cutting AT ALL. The offtime I guess would vary depending on your career but since I work in construction(hard hat) they said 5-7 days before you put something on your head. I didnt go to Bosley mainly because where im at I would have to fly to one of there locations....I went to WMHC (washington medical hair clinics) they are Board certified. They did 2000+ grafts and they were actually able to go back about 1" 1/2 farther than what I was told im the consultation....normally its about 4-5 dollars per graft but the time I had the consultation they something goin on where it was half off so a little over 4k.

the cost can vary greatly dependin on who u go with....anywhere from 4k-10k maybe a little more.
It depends on how many grafts they can get from site....and sessions depend on how much u want done/lost....I might have to do one more session to get the little circle part on the top back off the head bit first ill try some rogaine because the the area the product claims to target

4 thousand dollars? Did you say 4 grand? Holy Fvck Face! For slightly over two thousand hair grafts? And here I was seriously thinking of using Bosley as they quoted me 11 grand for 2200 hair grafts! Not only that but they also demand upfront 550 dollars in case they accidentely cut out more than the 2200 grafts because then they charge approximately 3.50 per hair graft over 2200 that they originally quoted up to 100 more hairs. Then if they still accidentely have more hairs on the strip they cut out, it's free for all the rest of the left over hairs to be grafted. Now add to that some kind of a follow up treatment package kit with minoxidil and vitamins and other things. So in addition to the 11 grand I will have to pay upfront the extra 550.00, and then I will have to pay around 350-550 every 6 months to a year for on going treatment meds to help keep what they grafted in the first place. So to hear you now come on here and tell me that you were only charged 4 grand or so for the approximate same amount of hair grafts, well I'm not too pleased with Bosley At The Moment. But I'm not one to jump right into things like this without doing lots of research. Whether it's 4 grand or 11 grand it's still our money and we work hard for it so we want to stretch it for whatever we are buying. At least that's how I feel. But to me yours really sounds like one heck of a bargain. It would be worth it to me to fly up there to get it done. Even if it costs me a grand round trip with hotel expense, I'm still saving 6500 dollars over Bosleys Procedure. Provided they do a quality job and your satisfied with the look after it grows in. So Attention to whomever is interested in getting a transplant. It pays to shop around! Do they have a web site we can check out?

yeh when u quoted Bosley in ur earlier post I was like damn thats a lot but not knowing the outcome of how mine would turn out I didnt say anythin about it. that does seem really steep but keep in mind it was half off when I went so I guess it would've been around 8k which is still less than Bosley. As far as the medicine that only cost me 40 bucks at the pharmacy which included....vicodin,percocet,antibiotics, sleep aid, and something for swelling....im not sure why they're charging u that much for all that....they even said I could use rogaine on the back part to see if that helps before even considering another treatment.

Thanks I'll check it out. But as far as Bosley well for one thing red flags went off as soon as I found out what part of town they were located in. The fanciest place in KC on the Country Club Plaza where the likes of Saks Fifth Avenue once were. So the overhead and rental space is premium. It would be like being located in Manhatten NY! So our price we pay would be reflected in their pricing structure. I'm going to check out Hair Club as well but they are probably in the same league as Bosley. I think it's best to go with a lesser known place like you did that doesn't have such high overhead cost to pass on to it's customers as long as they are board certified and you can view their previous work.

Nah just toss it. They quoted me 11 grand for 2200 grafts so at your coupons rate 3600x3=10800. So it's no bargain at all. Although they want you to think it is.

My thoughts exactly! Man I've only receded a little on the front and I still have at least 95% of my hair I think. I just wanted to get on top of the receding line. but yeah I thought 2200 hairs were insane amount. They must want to make it super thick up front..lol It's just another red flag for me there if you know what I mean. They so far seem to be all about bringing in the moolah. Needless to say I won't be going with them. But for others who have lots of disposable cash and don't care about throwing it away or paying 3 times the amount most others are charging who also are board certified, well go for it. But seriously it pays to ask around and this is one of the great things about our forum boards here. We have input from all over the world willing to help each other out in saving money and making good choices. and we haven't said this near enough here but we owe a ton to Brian. So Brian thank you very much for having and keeping this board and forum alive. If I ever come to Texas I'll buy you a round at either your kind of bar or mine or both..
