    leg shots

I'm having trouble increasing the size of my legs as am overall look. I've been told I have bad genetics and I train legs like you would not believe. As I say the strength has got to the point where it looks as if my legs are achieving an impossible amount. And properly too.

    Exercises currently at

Reps x 12 to Max weight.

    Squats. Curls. Extension. Press(machine) x 3 sets

Today I've moved to reps x 20 and sets x 5 which at the timed feels like I've worked it more but any advice would really really really be appreciated. I do calf press on leg press machine + sat down too

How long have you been training them? You moving the weight up on a weekly basis? Have you ever tried hack squats? Are you aware your coffee mug is broken?

Lol. I've moved onto hack squats from today. I'm 6ft3n a quart. 22% bf I know it's high. But forget that. I always overload. As I say my strength has increased literally week on week. But not seemingly the size. Although I realise they may well have. I just don't see it. I've been told I may suffer from body dusmorphia due to me always seeing myself as tiny.

    Water intake/percentile ok
Lean mass increasing month on month. All round strength increasing month on month. I'm just looking for ideas for alternative workouts. I've switched to a much more leg oriented workout from today so hopefully this will result in better progress. Now I have the leg shots in three months I will be able to see

Oh n yes. The mug was used for size ratio purposes. Think it couldn't handle the regime I'll look for some April of last year shots to see what changes have occurred

It all takes time. Anyone who expect big changes in 1 year is kidding themselves.

How often do you work legs? What is your routine? Do you do squats?

I know your question was about legs but judging from the pics it looks like you've made progress in your arms and shoulders...... cant really see your upper legs in the second set of pics. Keep up the good work.

Genetics is part of it but that being said they will still grow, you just have to train a little harder than some.
Honestly I hardly do legs and I can see a difference in a couple of weeks. I'm lucky that way but not as lucky in others. Most of the time I will go weeks without working legs, sometimes longer. Since we are all sharing, Here are some pictures after only working them lightly for a couple of weeks.

Thank you. The 1st two are within the last couple of weeks and the last one is from 2010 when I was in much better shape overall before the injuries.

I really need to focus more on legs and see what i can do with them. BTW tonight is legs. I'm making it a rule to hit them at least 1x a week now.

Deffernatly in good shape, I'm a bit disappointed with myself that I neglected them early on as they were terrible, I never really enjoyed working them, but currently I am favouring leg day over my pull day, mainly due to seeing my squat get stronger and stronger and how much it has helped my overall core strength. My squat is feeling great ATM and seeing continuous strength gains, working them 2x a week has helped alot.

I train them atleast once per week my old typical session would be

Squats one week. Best form (go as far down as my body lets me pretty much ass on the floor
Squats other week. Good squat. Legs parrallel to knee but much heavier weight

Above is 3x12reps increasing weight to Max. Alternated each week

    Leg curl 3x12
    Leg extension 3x12
    Leg press (machine)3x12

New routine same throughout except normal squat now hack squat (bar in front) and reps are 3x20 my first week was yesterday

I think I may move the legs to twice per week as above gymmer

I will try and get sum distance shots as similar in style and position to my first pics before I'd started back. God im glad I took those. For one years work I think im atleast on the right track. I believe my legs have got bigger. The missus says so. I just always look at myself and see a puny little human lol

Oh I want to say. Doing the higher reps causes an immense burn. But it seems im.feeling much much more of a burn in all routines. This may be due to the fact of deca / test combo im trying out. Im usually test only.

On my next leg.extra I will get a shot of the muscle working to give an idea if muscle shape. Seems to be the only time it explodes in size... to me anyhow.
