Thread: Truck Upgrades?
-
04-01-2013, 07:54 PM #1
I owe $136.19 on my truck!! It's my second vehicle but the first I have paid for myself. Now that it's going to be paid off, I want to do a few upgrades to it.
It's a Black 2005 F150 STX 2WD Supercab. I was thinking about a cold air intake and a performance chip. I'm not sure what else. I'm looking for ideas. I think I eventually want to get some black rims for it! What are y'all's thoughts?

Close that wheel gap somehow...
CAI does very little on its own (despite what the packaging says) so aftermarket tuning will be needed to make use of it.

Hypertech for ford. Wow. Changes everything. Reprograms everything or you can select what you want. Then dual exhaust.

Or we could take the Donzi in the Av with 525 hp and jump wakes...

too much cold air too fast. It can (not always, but can) cause issues with the combustion process. I don't recall the exact science behind it, but it's something to do with the temp of the incoming air and the atomizing of the fuel when it gets injected. You'd be better off sticking with a K&N o.e. replacement. Of course if you're changing the entire fuel managment profile it might not be an issue.
