SETI@home .......
SETI@home is a screen saver, that uses the collective power of over 8 million home computers to help scan the cosmos for signals of exterrestrial intelligence...I like it because when I'm not using my computer, its being used towards something I passionately believe in....I know there are some members on here like Times Roman and Flagg who are as passionate about science as I am, and maybe some of you who I dont know, that might want to contribute, as well as have a really cool screen saver that shows you in real time which Fhz you are scanning and a nice graphic showing the signal...My computer was scanning from Arecibo all day (a large space telescope located in Puerto Rico, it was featured in a James Bond movie as well).... Anyway, if you google SETI@home you can download the software for it from the UC Berkley website...
