    Your favorite running shoes

What do you guys wear for running? I used Nike Pegasus 27, it was discontinued and I think I purchased every pair on amazon and ebay in my size and wore them out. Looking for alternatives.

Anyone try Nike Pegasus 28? What do you wear?

I'm not a runner but have always worn Asics running shoes. I know they hold up well for runners. It depends on your feet though so I would just try a bunch on and see what feels best for you.

I'm not a runner with but my girlfriend is. She loves her saucony's. They aren't cheap but they are good shoes.

My cartridge in my knees r no more so they hurt when I run. Shox and new balance (991? Hell I don't remember, they're like $120) are the only ones I've found that somewhat ease the shock in my knees.

I don't run any more but when I did I was always happy with Saucony, Asics or Brooks. No preference, whatever fit best at the time. As long as they came with enough support for my high arches.

Me i have expensive taste, if i were to invest in runners i would go the nikes. No idea what models they have these days since i dont really run much, and most are my 'hobby' shoes are for gym purposes.

I like asics and mizuno. I get them sized at a running store because it is key that they fit right.
If you want I will go check the exact models...

Exactly... I like the coolest most unique shoes. I always have to have a nice flatfooted low profile sick ass Nike or similar shoe in the gym. I'm 21, gotta keep these miles on my nuts, everyone know I buy the perfect all around gym shoes.

And yes I already have Adidas oly lifting shoes for those kind of training days.

It would depend on what style of runner you are. Where you land on your foot and so on. There are different types of shoes for different types of runners, it's not a one size fits all in more ways than on. Nikes tend to break down about the quickest of all running shoes, New Balance are one of the longer lasting shoes but tend to be a bit stiffer shoe bed.

There is info available via the web that will help you pick the best type of shoe basedon the type of runner you are ie: do you land on your heel or more on the ball of your foot, do you wear shoes out on the inside or outside more frequently and what types of surface do you plan to run on most often.

If you have not seen a professional, go to Luke's Locker here in Austin. They will access your running style and get the right shoe for you. You don't have to buy from them either. They spent about an hour with me to get the right shoe. I am on overpronator and ended up with a very supportive pair of Asics. The pain in my shins when running is now gone.

I like the Asics Gel Kyano's I have this years model (18?) but it's all I've used for years
A bit on the heavy side but I tried the brooks adrenaline because they are comparable for arch support and they were just too light. Couldn't do it

I find the NB fit me the best. I dont do a lot of running anymore, but I do destroy shoes with the width of my foot and these seem to hold together the longest
