    Eating in the middle of the night

    Well just as it says. Any one here eat in the middle of the night. I have been having a hearty shake two scoops whey little flax little ground oats.
    Any one else do this ? And what are you eating/drinking

    Sounds disgusting.

    Quality sources of protein such as turkey, chicken, Greek yogurt, etc. Carbs that will allow me to hit a sufficient fiber intake (usually 50g) and whatever else I like to fit my macros such as plain bagels with cream cheese and orange juice.

    Nope. I just do a protein drink when I get up to hit the pisser. Consistent with both.

    May I ask why. To hit a protein macro. Or is it a matter of stroking the metabolism?

    For kelkel? He doesn't have to do anything. He can sit on a couch for a month and still look like that.

    Just to feed the body and avoid a catabolic state. I usually wake up hungry then but just don't want to take the time to eat. Works well for me. Staves off hunger and gives me a dose of protein.

    For me I don't like going the 7 or 8 hours while I sleep with nothing in my system . I tend to wake up and feel charged and ready to go this way

    Kelkel is a freak. I am not saying that he doesn't work out hard and eat clean. But no cardio and he looking like he does. He's seems so nice, as do you, hard to hate on him.

    But really. What reason do some eat in the middle of the nite??

    Yeah it's the cardio that I wish I could get rid of. He obviously knows how to eat And you don't get that big without ridiculous training either. He's a champ.

    I was just reading up on catabolic state. I workout after work normally done by 7 pm. Since I eat dinner within 45 min of finishing I guess I go to bed full and never thought I needed anything in the middle of the nite, food wise . I will wake and drink water cuz I Am dehydrated from cycle class. I eat breakfast 12 hours later and I only eat then to wake up my metabolism.

    ^ If it's what I recall, it's 2 warm ups and 1 heavy, which is what I switched to a month or so ago.

    That's pretty much what I've been doing except I get over zealous and end up doing 2-3 heavy failure sets lol

    Yeah. I've been having good results thus far. However I'm bout to do high reps and moderate weight to kinda change it up and not put such a strain on my joints, ligaments and tendons for awhile. B happy if I gain 8 pounds off this blast...as long as I get to 240! :P

    Because I'm small and I want to get big. But I have a problem doing it when I get up to pee because I can get the timing right. I get up 5-6 times. Last night it was 7. Every hour, Great to be old.....crazy mike. That would be a lot of shakes !!!!

    Pretty much yes. But I train alone in my basement so I have to alter things depending on the exercise. You also have to cycle that kind of intensity to avoid burnout as well as injuries. Especially as we age. You really have to just learn to listen to your body and train by instinct.

    Almost every night. Sometimes 2x a night. Usually it's cottage cheese and some fruit mixed in. Peanut butter and jelly sandwich or something like that.

    At 12 am I have 7 oz chicken breast & 1/2 cup of wheat pasta......at 3 am 2 cans of tuna........
