    Issa

    Does anyone have there Issa certification here, and if so was it pretty easy to get and do you use it for anything you do to this day?

    I have a friend that has it said it was not difficult as long as you read the materials given to you... uses it to help kids at a neighbor hood shelter learn about fitness... (was a requirement).

    Cool man I'm going for it I have a career already , but I have a lot of people who ask me if I train and I think I can use it to make a little extra cash I'm at the gym all the time anyway.

    That's exactly what I do... Train clients on the side for extra cash. It is a terrible "career" choice, but as a side job its good shit.

    Issa I thought was a rather comprehensive cert. There is a lot of bullshit in it, but if you filter through that then there is gold mines of valuable material. I needed a cert for my last pt gig, but now I dont really utilize it although the knowledge is by far the most valuable thing you take away from it.

    The exam is open book. However that doesn't mean its a breeze. Read the book and take the 6 hour exam you should do fine.

    I have had my ISSA certification for 6 yrs. I work full time as a nurse and use my training others to help me unwind. I don’t know how people in the area where I live can make living from being PT. Friends of mine that are in Chicago and other large cities do make a pretty good living but they also charge double what’s charged around here.
