My pass is good for all community centre gyms in the Capital Region, so it depends where I am when it's gym time, or who I'm training with that day.

Do we count the gyms at work? If we do I also have membership at CHS facility. I don't like training there. They have kids playing on weight equipment and cardio. The hospital also does physical therapy there. When physical therapist notifies you that they need a machine you have to get off. There are huge signs all over the place that state, "Patients take priority over members. When asked by Physical Therapist members have 5 minutes to get off equipment. If member does not comply member will be written up. After 3rd write up members will be barred from gym." Also I don't like training around people I work with.
At Modern Muscle we have standard dumbbells that go up to 150. Then we have these medieval looking dumbbells that go up to 230. They definitely have some age on them. The grips on them are huge and so rough that they even tear up gloves a little.Last edited by tigerspawn; 04-26-2013 at 01:28 PM.

Used to do Lifetime Fitness, then a local health clinic/spa/ultra-decked out gym, and finally settled at the YMCA. Cheap, they have a bench press, squat rack, dumbbells, cable pulls, and a pull up bar. What else do I need from a gym? All my cardio is HIIT on my own.
Honestly, I would just keep a power rack at home and take care of business except getting out of the house is a good routine for me (I work out of the house). I'm also encouraged to go to see females in workout gear. In fact, that may be 95% of why I still go to a gym.

Old fashioned privately owned gym with some archaic machinery but shed loads of dumbells. Cost £15 a month (approx $23). But it's minglingly dirty/dusty. Not sure any of the equipment has ever been sanitised. I wear full finger gloves and make sure my skin never touches any of the equipment directly. I had a bacterial infection in my throat only 4 days after my first visit. And there's no temperature control so it's freezing in winter and has a glass roof so I'm guessing ridiculously hot in summer!
