I register day of election, and have not been called and i'm old.. hella old..

i dont register to vote. i dont vote. i havent voted since i was 18 and probably wont ever vote again.. i have no faith in our ability to manage govt thru voting.. i think voting is like a pacifier for the masses..

You must appear if you recieve a jurry summons. However, In many states, it is possible to demonstrate that you are unable to serve on a jury for financial reasons.

OK who ratted me out. I just received a summons to appear in court for blowing off Jury Duty on multiple occasions.

I am facing $1000 fine and up to 30 days in jail.

My lawyer says a sincere apology will get me off. F that, it's going in the garbage.

I dont know much about American laws, but im pretty sure in the UK your employer is obligated to give you a paid week off for Jury Duty.

well im already back at home! they had 20 civil cases that apparently all settled. we were dismissed by 11:15 the coffee pot in my kitchen didnt even have time to turn itself off! YAY! so now i just have the day off.
