    Bp and cialis

So I was reading ausitine supplement thread. And i believe him and kelkel said don't take cialis is BP is low. Well I just added it to my daily regimen about two weeks ago. Went to doc today and I'm my BP is at 112/72. They said its very good. But my question is what is low? Like when would I know to stop taking cialis for awhile. I will be monitoring BP Ed on cycle is why I am asking.

You know taking Cialis ( even at low doses) for excessive length of time get over stimulation of the prostate. I would definitely get on some blood pressure pills rather than take cialis if this is your long term plan.
What is your blood pressure if you don't take Cialis?
I would try to control blood pressure by taking vitamins and clean up your diet. That's just a reminder cause many forget to do that. Nutrition place a huge role in your blood pressure.

hypotension is probably around 90/60. but at any point when you start feeling dizzy, that pressure you're having at that time is probably a little low for you. but if you're perfectly fine at 110/70, there's nothing to worry about.

Goode job researching, Sfla! Looks like it got covered.

Gearbox: Excellent point with a proper vitamin/nutritional plan. As for Cialis, I believe it is perfectly safe at a low dose. Sfla is considering a dose of 5mg twice daily. Nothing but benefits can come from that, even long term. But I agree, Cialis should not be the choice solely for lowering BP.

just to be extra safe, start at 5mg once a day. bump it to twice later if you feel the need.

Hypotension is a relative term all depends what nolmaltensive is for you. some people who have normal Bp's 200/100 hypotension is 120/80, mine years ago was always 90/60 but many years later not the case. so it's all relative.

My bp was always good but then after going to nights working 8pm - 8am 3-4 days a week then trying to switch to days on my non work days my bp was borderline for a long time. After getting married it went out of control, 190/110 at times. Wife claims it has nothing to do with her...

Just reasearching guys like aust said. I was just taking precautionary measures so I know what to look for.

And I got to see different views on this too, a lot of people here are taking it 5mg twice daily, but as u see some don't think Its a good idea. I take it for multiple reasons, basically all lsted in GD thread on his supplements too.

I don't see a need to take it twice a day. I tend to start as low as possible and see how it goes from there. Maybe even every other day and see how it works for you.

    Huh?
Last I checked, it lowered PSA and helped protect against BPH.

Cialis has a half life just under 18 hours in healthy males, making 2x per day administration unnecessary but no harm to it.

I agree with Bonaparte as Cialis is indicated for treatment of BPH. It works by relaxing the smooth muscle cells that comprise most of the prostate.

Hi doc. Does relaxing the smooth muscle lead to a lower psa?

It should if you have BPH and an elevated PSA before initiating therapy.

i can almost understand how cialis helps relieve the symptoms of BPH, but i don't really know how cialis can decrease PSA. and cialis cannot decrease the size of a hypertrophied prostate right?
