Does anyone use or belong to a gun range that charges a membership fee or a usage fee?
Is it indoor or outdoor?
How much per year or per time?

I dont yet but it seems we have 2 close to where I live and they are pretty cheap like $100 a year but you are also expected to help do some routine maintenance/cleanup a couple of times a year. All members are required to provide 8 hours of service to the club each year.
The price is per family, no person.
My best friend belong to a private club on his marina. We go there for free as long as you clean up after yourself
Me do

No private range but I go to public one out here in Houston, Bush Park. They have everything! Shot in a skeet tourney last fall there with some friends.
I did a few years ago.But I am going to rejoin.I believe its only 100.00 a year.
I've got 40 acres and bunch of 2 liter soda bottles we can fill with water. Come on down. I'll beat your best price by 10% a year!
Got a case of it buddy. Fun times. But I couldn't include that for free cause it aint cheap! And yes. Come and visit...but wait til deer season, we'll have to see just how redneck you can be.
Unless you wanta come down here in a few weeks when the catfish start spawning and we can do some noodlin'.
dad does, $80 a year or something. the waiting list is thousands, no one ever gives up their membership
and it's indoor. about 12 stations, small coffee room.
the town itself seems very small, it's in town. however the highway by the town is part of the town, hard to describe. but it ends up having a Walmart, best buy, borders, sports authority and only 1 schoolOriginally Posted by Lunk1
so taxes are low and they're not worried about having the money to run the range lol
still, a very small town.

Indoor out door range cost 125 per year plus you have to help them run one event. Indoor has a max caliber of 45 cal.
Law enforcement can shoot free one day per month.
$300 year at mine in Cali. A little pricy, but I like the owners and the atmosphere. Indoor only.

Can't afford any longer. They have every thing.

Check this shit out. Pretty inclusive. How many places have a 600 yrd range?

Oh yeah the two by me are indoor/outdoor ranges.

Lunk, here's a link to the range I belong to: RANCHO MAGNUM RANGE | Indoor Firing Range,
Their ranges are not overly large, but it's a reliable place with reliable people, who I have a lot of rapport with. I usually do a lot of conceal carry practice there. They usually let my wife in for free as well.
When you live in the country you don’t need a gun range. I do belong to two separate ones though. The first one is almost two hours away and close to my parents. The VA runs both an outdoor and an indoor range. Since my dad and brothers are vets they and their family receive free memberships. Everyone pitches in to help with maintenance, mowing, and snow removal. The local outdoor one is owned by the state and used by law enforcement. Since I am friends with several police officers and correctional guards I was able to get membership. The state pays for everything but ammo and targets.
Are you planning on building a range.
Out door 200 yards is normal 100 yards is fine 15 lanes
Indoor is 50 ten lanes with four staging areas
A small coffee area with tables
Plenty of full size lockers. No leaving guns on premises
And the coffee area over looks the inside lanes thru BP glass
Lots of signage of safety and it helps that we have vets who when they are there help keep thing safe with polite reminders. The free day for law enforcement greases the wheels.
Yeah, they need a little better ventilation, and maybe a little better lighting. They just put a lot of money into fixing the place up, and I anticipate they will continue to make more improvements. Being indoor, it doesn't have the distance one would want for the AR's, but again, my personal purpose is to practice for CCW. I know several decent LE guys (yeah, there's a few ha ha) and range masters that spend time there, so I also like being around proficient minded gun people when possible.
