    Heavy Metal 2000-2013

Those of you who like heavy metal, what are the best albums to come out since 2000 till now 2013? Would love to find an album or two I don't know about. Need some new gym music.

Anyway, here are my top ten albums since 2000 in no particular order. Feel free to share your own list.

    1. Lamb of God - As the Palace Burns
    2. Lamb of God - Wrath
    3. In Flames - Clayman
    4. Children of Bodom - Follow the Reaper
    5. Children of Bodom - Hate Crew Deathroll
    6. Arch Enemy - Doomsday Machine
    7. Divine Heresy - Bleed the Fifth
    8. Pantera - Reinventing the Steel
    9. Amon Amarth - Surtur Rising
    10. Metallica - Death Magnetic

Important note: Albums by Hatebreed, Godsmack and Disturbed are banned from this thread.

Godsmack and Disturbed, I consider those that commercial gloss metal. I just don't like it. Hatebreed...one of the most overrated bands of all time IMO, very poorly written songs and pretty much D chord after D chord.

I think there's a ton of great metal out there in the last several years. Bodom and Lamb of God both put out great stuff every time.

Anything In Flames. Their musical talent keeps impressing me with each album. COB is right up there, but I've gotta be in the mood for Alexi's vocals. Great live though.

I dunno, log is decent but never good enough to get me to buy their cds. Bodom isn't my scene.

The only decent metal recently I've bought is slayer lol.

FFDP "Lift Me Up" (featuring Rob Halford of Judas Priest). New single. Maybe more rock than metal though.

I'm a die hard country fan, but I gotta admit, that I love children of bodom's older stuff. Those guys are crazy. I think their hatebreeder album was when they had a shitton of keyboard. Loved that album.
