I am a big believer of "don't knock it, until you have tried it" especially when traveling. I believe there is no better way to experience another culture than to eat the food the locals eat. I am not picky at all. The reason I watch what I eat now is so I know exactly my nutritional breakdown. The only food that is off limits for me is anything that is threatened (e.g. Atlantic bluefin tuna) or caught and prepared inhumanely (e.g. veal); otherwise I have tried everything from tripe, chicken feet, ox tail, and gizzards to fried grasshoppers, escargot, cow tongue, and pig's feet.

from what i hear ox tail prepd properly is very good! some of the best meat ive ever had was on the ship this year and it was beef shortribs! aside from that we had authentic cuban food ion miami and it was awesome!

I have had ox tail prepared in couple of ways. One is in menudo (which also contains tripe), and the other was in Granada, Spain where the ox tail was prepared by roasting it and smothered in some delicious ass sauce.
