    Wife got a new car

So we have been shopping for a new car the past few months cause my wifes camry has a lot a lot of miles. Her friend got a Kia Soul about 4 months ago and my wife loves it. She says its such a cute little car. My thoughts are what a slow POS.
Anyways we went and test drove a corolla, Camry, and Accord, and BMW (2011 model), and of course a Soul.
Long story short she wanted a Soul, but liked them all. I am not complaining when I went out and found a 2013 for under 17k. lol that's right!!
I am one happy camper and she loves her car.

It actually rides nice and is surprisingly quite inside. she has all he bells and whistle also. (not that kia has many options)

Women are funny about vehicles, my wife pretty much sees all new cars the same. If they have that nice 2013 shine she loves them

Kia has come along way in the last 5 years. We have been looking at the Kia Optima. I would have never considered them 10 years ago but the quality and warranty have really improved.

A couple tears ago Bought my first brand new car. 2011 Kia optima first year of the new model. Fully loaded, leather infinity radio dual sunroof, GPS Bluetooth. Everything but turbo. Bought it for $26k. With of course 100k warranty. Plus if I keep my maintance through them, free tires and batteries for life. Already got two new tires worth about 550$ and it was free. I'm a Kia man now.

Not all dealers do tires and batteries for life though keep in mind. Also there's been a recall on the break lights so ask about that.

I have had 3 kias now, (cause I was a broke teenager lol) but 2 out of 3 went 150k miles without any issues. Besides general repairs/maintance.

Hey. I resemble that remark! I am a good driver. I only took off 1 passenger side mirror in a backing situation. And I hate to parallel park. But other then backing and parking, I'm good!!!

It's a natural female handicap! It's so painful for me. I hate having to do it and it is one thing I truly suck at

I was on a long term work assignment and The soul was my favorite! I loved it and would ask for one whenever I had to switch out my rentals. I would zip around town. Perfect size for me!

Parallel parking can be tough. Especially in NYC in front of an outdoor restaurant. Everyones watching you and you keep missing it and everyones laughing at you lol

You end up learning real fast

Exactly!!! And then the drivers behind who can't see start honking and trying to cut around. Makes me more nervous. I actually let some random guy parallel park my car...it was my nightmare. It's one of those things I really suck at!

Lunk had me locked in his basement. I finally escaped. Hopefully he won't find me here. Lol

.....just needed a brief hiatus from all the newbies looking for the 30 day beach body miracle and I've been cutting carbs aggressively and hating the world for it. Lol

Glad to be back in good company.

I can try. I was surprised the options it has. Blue tooth usb port ipod line it, display that can change to 3 different colors. Not bad for kia

Mine too, as long as it's a top end Volvo, BMW or especially she likes Ferrari. Yeah she asked if she can have a Ferrari. I said sure right after I get my Lamborghini.

Don't feel too bad, I suck at it too. I got really crappy depth perception and I'm paranoid I'm going to ding the other cars. Eventually I get to the point where I'm like "fvck it" and go for it and sure enough. I give the other cars a little love-tap.

Some cars now come equiped with auto parking assist right? Press the button and it reverses and turns into the lot without any input from the driver. Saw it on Top Gear. And some tv commercial.

I've seen that before too. It seems to me like more stuff that can go wrong with the car. I wonder who is liable if the auto parking feature malfunctions and an accident occurs? Would the manufacturer be held liable?

Don't waste ur money on the USB cord that fits there. iPhone and probably I pad streams straight through speakers with Bluetooth. Clear as the radio. U can have up to 5-6 devices linked in so whoever is driving it can connect

I don't think they park assist yet. But they have the video camera so when u reverse u see everything behind u.
