    Obama and Cameron vs Syria

BBC News - No decision on arming Syrian rebels, says David Cameron

They should just put a big fat YET at the end of the headline.

Cause yeah, what the US and UK really needs is to be involved in yet ANOTHER CONFLICT. A couple years back I might have argued that innocent people are dying, and that is a real shame, a terrible shame, but what does that tell you when the neighbouring Arab states do NOTHING and again it falls to the the US and UK to police the world.

Both countries have way, way more pressing matters at hand. Like not stagnating and growing again. Taking care of their domestic situation.

Islamic radicals taking over another secular nation in the Middle East... just what we need.

These aren't innocent people who are being killed by Assad. They are not farmers with poorly outdated weapons. They are not our friends.

These are trained mercenaries from Africa, other Middle Eastern countries, and Sunni extremists, the worst of the worst. They have funding from Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups. They have modern weaponry. They will cut off your heads if you speak about the Prophet Muhammad in a bad light. They will hunt down your whole family and kill them all if you help the "infidels" or are even suspected of doing so, or if they are just bored and need to satisfy their thirst for blood. Don't even think or speak of any other religion around them, that is asking for a decapitation.

Should I post some videos or pictures of these "innocent farmers" in action?

Hmmm I thought our news reports are saying its already in motion to arm them. Anything to take the attention off the economy

It's a catch 22. Spread ourselves too thin by fixing everyone else's problems? Or appear weak by keeping to ourselves. There's really now way to win, I'm just interested to see what the next large conflict is since that's what it appears the world is gearing up towards

Hoggage is right, all that will end up happening is arming monsters to fight a monster.

Remember when the CIA armed Afghanistan against the Russians in the 80's, look how that panned out.

100,000 people have died since Assad started blowing stuff up, not all of them are radicals, but it's allowed the radicals to get in, many of them Al Qaeda funded/run.

The problem with radical Islam, is when it's not cutting off the heads of Israelis and the West, it's doing that to itself. It really is a insatiable beast that demands blood and when there isn't enough around, starts cannibalising itself.

@RWY, perhaps it is in motion. The very peaceniks protesting about action should be taken will be protesting 6 months later to be withdrawing.

Obviously we learn from our mistakes.
