Damn... never seen more than a full episode of Sopranos at a time, but the guy was so suited for a stereotypical mobster, a role made for him. RIP.

Sad news. He always seemed/sounded unhealthy but still, 51 is no age.

Any of you guys seen Killing Them Softly (****ing awesome movie)? Seems like Gandolfini was almost playing himself, a Mobster with a drink problem.
Im sure there were other factors but the man wasn't small, so drink probably played it's part.
RIP!

Very sad indeed. As a NJ native who grew up relatively close to his hometown, and have frequented many of the areas where the Soprano's was either filmed in or referenced, I almost feel like I lost 'family'.
To make matters worse, he just had a baby less than a year ago. Poor little girl will never know her daddy, at least not in person. At least she'll get to see his (awesome) body of work.
RIP JG

I was shocked that he was the same age as me(51). Thought he was older.
