Lunk, you silly boy, you do make me laugh. AND by the way Buddy and I have some different words that we know what we're talking bout. He talks back to me, he'll cry when I am leaving, he gets sad, upset, scared, happy and all kinds of expressions and different sounds for words. ...crazy mike

What, not a false alarm. He was out, should never be out, not an outside kid, not in the area. Or he left the area because for a few hours he didn't answer me. Soooo for me, I was fvkin alarmed and couldn't get to sleep until he came in. hell Lunk was going to grab a flashlight and start to help look for him. ...crazy mike n Buddy

NO...He wasn't allowed out in the first place. He was a bad, bad boy. Thinks he can just go off hiking in the woods without a care in the world. Just look at that face. I didn't even know he walked out, until I called all the kids in for dinner and they all came but him and he's always the first in line. Silly boy....yep just a silly, silly boy. ...crazy mike

Well I held off telling you guys. I hate being a guy that cries wolf but.... I know you'll blow it off but I can't.
You guys know my bud, "Buddy" see him up in my Av, well Buddy walked out the door Sunday am. He came around Sunday night and spoke out to us but the little guy didn't come in and he left the area. Monday night very late he came around and cried for his dinner and his Yogurt treat we share every night ( that's what I want to believe) but walked off when CL was about to give him some and reach out to him. Then gone again all night and all day and nowhere tonight to be found or heard.
So I just had to say I'm very freaked. It has rained for 3 days straight and he has to be held up. I just can't keep from thinking each day out, brings him farther from coming home.
That's it.! I just had to say something because ... well ya know, I'm upset. wouldn't you be! ...crazy mike

Man, sorry to hear this happened again. But I'm curious why you let him out in the first place if he runs away...

Sorry to hear. That sucks I have a black cat that acts like a dog as well! Very scary when he is out and runs off even for a couple hours so I cant imagine a few days. Atleast he has called out and come around that's a good sign. Good luck man I feel for ya.

No you don't understand , he is strictly an indoor cat. He's 2-1/2 and weighs 15 pounds and lived always in the house. Never allowed out and he's only gotten out 4 -5 times in that time. He's only run off like this twice. He's not a big, bold rough n tough guy. He's a baby, my baby and acts like one. So crap someone came to the door, he got freaked and slipped out and ran so fast into the woods. He's fast !! too fast...Dammit ...cm

Thanks for being around guys.
GOOD NEWS.............Buddy just came back outside the kitchen window and was yelling up a storm. He let CL walk out and pick him up. So he's back after three days. Another night and I wouldn't have needed to bother you.
I feel better now, much better. I gave him a big bowl of food and told him I was glad he's home and if he did this again I would just kick.....NO I didn't say anything. Just a hug and a kiss. No cuts or bruises, cool ! ...crazy mike

Yea , who knows. He got in my lap late last nigh and hugged me. He got between me and my laptop this am and held on to me with his claws. I was walking around this afternoon and he looked at me and cried. Then the guy pulls himself on me, I sit down and he grabs my chest with his paws/nails and holds me tight to himself and lays his head on my pec.
So ya see why I am so close to my "Buddy". He is very unique with his ways of affection. ...crazy mike

Hey I want to get back to you guys with the "Buddy" saga. It seem that when Buddy came home the other night he had gotten sick. WE didn't know. But he wouldn't eat, and the when he would not eat his yogurt treat with me, he eats yogurt from my spoon Everyday, I knew he was not feeling well. He sat and laid on my lap and stomach all night. He slept with me and was lethargic all day Friday. He was hot also. We took him to the Vet Friday afternoon and his fever was 105.5 and that is not good.
They cooled him down with alcohol and gave him IV fluids. He is on some antibiotic medicine and an anti-inflammatory medicine. My poor Buddy is real sick guys , he is really real sick.
The Vet bill was $230.00 and we are broke . I hade to post date 4 checks. WE did extensive blood work and ruled out the worst. I spent extra to cover all the bases.
So If you guys have gotten to know this old man here, you know I am real upset and saddened. He didn't eat dinner tonight and his fever is still there, just not as high.
So that's it. Yep that's it, Buddy is sick, very sick an pitiful.
Just wanna say...just had to tell you all about my bud, "Buddy" That's it. ...crazy mike

Mike, this same thing happened to my mom's cat with fever, not eating or drinking. We took it to the vet and they determined that it was the result of a tick bite. The cat had a rough go for a week or two but it pulled through and is back to normal. Good luck brother.

His fever was gone after two days but he still wasn't eating except his yogurt treat with me for the first two days. Ha ! I put some protein powder in it and he liked it.
Cool guy that boy is. Just a real cool cat . ...crazy mike n Buddy here!!
