Heard on news yesterday that in Death Valley they was expecting the hottest temp ever today, and that's for anywhere on earth ever since they started recording temps.

I heard it was going to be around 130s the other day somewhere out west. I don't know how you guys take it. It's in the upper 80s where I love and I'm miserable. I start sweating when I go outside.

Be thankful you don't work out in your garage....like me. I must have consumed 1/2 gallon of water this afternoon. Fans don't help. My dog is lying in the sun. Dumb bassett hound.

Why would your fans help with overheating? My fans don't do anything but get in my way. They think I NEED them?? Same with my entourage....

I got this 30" industrial fan from harbor freight for around $100 and I'm good surprisingly and it gets up to 115 out here, if not hotter in the garage.

I finally turned on my swamp cooler today. DAMN I love that thing. Cheap, simple, easy to use and I have had it for 15 years with zero problems. It cools the whole house in about 5 minutes. I have been told multiple times it doesn't work on the west coast. lol.

I mowed my lawn at 8am today before it got HOT and also because I just got home from work. I think it was hot today but I'm not sure, I was in a blacked out cool room so I could sleep.

I have two metal floor fans that push a great deal of air, and the pair may have cost me $75.

I keep mine on 72 during the day and 70 at night with a tower fan and a ceiling fan full blast in my bedroom.

My wife wants to kill me as she has to sleep with a ridiculous down comforter and my power bill is fooking stupid. I can't sleep if I'm hot though.....and I still wake up sweating.

Definitely going shopping. I have to stick my face an inch from the blades just to feel the air. I never learn; you get what you pay for.

Guys, it was almost 90 here this afternoon when I woke up.... My AC unit's been getting a pretty killer workout lately. At least I don't live inland.

If you time a sprinkler to hit the condenser for a couple minutes every few hours, it will get much colder faster.

It peaked here at 73 today and that had me sweating like a pig. I couldn't be in it for more than a few mins at a time!
