Austin is a fun town, plenty of stuff to do, and plenty of hippies.

there is a college campus located there also, beautiful women all over!

too bad their football team plays during the week, but still plenty of places to find trouble!

Austinite is probably more helpful in this category.

I honestly don't know the town too well except for 4th and 6th street. There was another street that had some bars on it but I can't think of it.

If you get there tomorrow, the local bars should be packed full of loose college women watching the football game. Football isn't too hard to explain but you need to be watching it to understand. Simple game with a lot of fukkin rules!

Lots of decent bars on 4th street. I would avoid 6th, it's always packed with kids. Been too long since I've been down there myself so there's a lot of new places I haven't been. But every few bars you'll have live music, good food and plenty to do. Not really sure what you're into so kind of hard recommendin specific places.

Ahh. BBQ would be the following:

    - Iron Works (100 red river road) close to you.
    - Rudy's BBQ (you'd have to drive north a bit for that one)

cedar door on 6th street for good live music and drinks.

Here's a guide to 6th... austin restaurant guide

Check out The Green Mesquite, good brisket & wings last time I was there a couple months ago. Franklin has good barbecue but there will be a line most likely, it's been featured on tv a few times so it's a popular joint.

Good to hear you're having a good time in The Great State of Texas. There's many reasons why so many people move here from other states & countries.
