I go to Croatia every other month-I hit Spit then head over to Dubrovnic- funny we go to Croatia to deal with Croatians-but half are here in Italy! Croatia can be fun place-especially Dubrov...I try to stay around the city-get too far out, towards Sebia..a little bit risky......hit Zagreb a few times years ago..

I am a sparing partner for the kickboxing worl champ (light heavyweight). He went to Croatia to fight. Kickboxing is huge over there. I tagged along fo the fun of it. When we came out of the locker room he had "American Badass" played as his music. The croatians were booing like crazy. I couldn't believe how much they disliked americans. Maybe they were Serbs, I don't know, it wasn't the time to start a conversation with people. Anyway, we scored a 3rd round knockout and then came home with another belt. Thats my Croatia experience.

I could imagine Serbs doing that-they are no fan of the US( or anyone that is part of NATO, for that matter)-but even today- most Serbs stay out of Croatia. Even Croats have some ill feelings-lots-older generations, no-younger folks..absolutely.

People booed just out of support for their fighter! Young and middleaged people love the US coz we all grew up on mtv and american films! Some people don't like US coz they screwed us over in the war.....BUT HEY I LOVE YOU GUYS IF IT MEANS ANYTHING
