Anyone ever visit a psychic in person?
Just curious, I personally haven't but I drive by this one office on a regular basis and there are always different cars in the lot.
Are the readings so broad and vague that they are applicable to many people?

I personally wouldn't want to talk to one, you don't know if they are good or bad, or even real for that matter.

I can't help but think it is all a bunch of bull!@#, I mean wouldn't they just buy a winning lottery ticket and live the good life if they were genuine.

There is a psychic down the street from my office. Been there for years so apparently does good business. I've always been of the opinion that psychics are carnies, good for a laugh but nothing more. I should go in for a reading and see what I think. I'm forming an opinion having never met one or had the experience. Tsk tsk!
I think I'm going to schedule it Depends on the cost though.

They are just good con artist that have learned to say the right things that would fit 90% of peoples situation and get you to feed off their response as if it's something personal about you but usually it's ambiguous and would fit most anyone.
What would be fun is to get some bum, someone who is down and out and clean them up, put them in a suit and send them in with a hidden cam to find out if they will get a promation next week or if their fiancee is the right one for them.
Hmmm maybe I just came up with a new reality show?

Lol. You may have at that. I would watch! I know all about how these people operate. I've been told all my life that I'm 'hard to read' and salespeople hate me. I'll give the fortune teller no cues at all and the only answers I will give is 'I don't know, you tell me'. Lets see what she comes up with. Only if the price is right though. I'm not doing it if it's like 100 bucks. This is just entertainment after all. I can think of some pretty entertaining things to do with that amount as a single man.

The magic 8-ball seem to be more accurate.
Realist: A person who sees things as they truly are. A practical person. The pessimist complains about the wind; The optimist expects it to change; The realist adjusts the sails. — William Arthur Ward

I thought my Ex was a psychic. Then I realized I was just doing a poor job getting the glitter off of me.

First of all, I would never pay to go see a psychic.
Now, I have known a few self professed psychics, at various stages of my life. Since they cannot predict the winning lottery tickets, I just chalk it up to the "that's interesting" category.
I haven't made up my mind as to whether it is possible to get a glimpse into the future.
I'm not sure a psychic is anything more than a very sensitive and perceptive individual that takes this fine sensory input and processes it with a good measure of common sense and higher intelligence
who knows?

When I worked in physical therapy, we had a patient come in that read palms. Nice old woman that just did it for family and friends. I told her nothing and she asked for nothing. She looked at my hand and told me things about myself only people that have known me for a long time would know. And yes, she may just be able to read people in general. She told my clinic manager that he had 8 kids and we all knew he had seven. When she left, he told us one of his children died shortly after birth. If we didn't know about it, she surely didn't!! I'll never forget her and yes some people have a special gift.
Supposedly there is a world renowned woman in Safety Harbor, FL but I never went when I lived there.
I don't believe tarrot card readers for sh*t!

My grandmas friend was psychic. Me and my family all grew up knowing her and the last time we all visited her when we were older she read all of us. She looked at all of us at the table and said something that years later turned out to be true. Before this I didn't know she was psychic. When she read everyone and finally looked at me she didn't say anything. When she was done I said what about me? Turns out that was rude of me. I couldn't help it. She said she saw me in the woods a lot. I grew up and joined the Army and have spent a good amount of time in the woods. I just don't understand why she skipped me. Maybe the combat training and deployments scared her not knowing exactly what to make of it. One thing that gets me thinking and worries me is what if it's more about something that's unfulfilled.

I got scared. Not gonna do it!
She only asks for 10 bucks, but I'll bet that's about 30 seconds then they start asking for more "for another 50 I'll tell you if you will lose your job or not"

lol
well unsure if I believe in them - sorta think that some people are more intune than others but scamers are the majority.
tigershark and I have an interresting story of our 1st time seeing one :we go to my folks ocean house to meet him for the 1st time (little did i KNOW HE PLANNED ON ASKING THEM FOR MY HAND IN MARRIGE) anyway we are on the board walk to get our palms read. we see different readers in different rooms at the same time.i was very unimpressed with the how vague my reading was :/ but he comes out with a weird look yet also happy. Appearently she told hm he will have 3 kids in his life (now he has 2 of his own and i have 1...but in our house we also have my son and my 2 foster boys at the time- interresting how our family had 3 kids and even though they dont all live with us we still had 3kids at home) she also told him some other things about his life that i forget (it was over 3 years ago) but i remember him telling me about his reading and being surprised at the accuracy and what she said about his life....he is now a believer! anyway I find out later that this reading was all he needed to hear, it was a solid confirmation for him to ask my folks that very moment for my hand ...oh, and i said yes lol

I had a creepy experience once when i was 16 working in a warehouse, hauling furniture between there and the store right around the corner on a dolly. I passed the bus stop dozens of times a day, and bumped into all kinds of people. after awhile, i discovered there were "regulars" (street people). This one crazy lady that was always talking and arguing with herself and someone else I couldn't see, she ended her conversation one time and spun around and said, "Roman, don't be chasing after that girl Tracy. she doesn't love you and is just using you". almost immediately, she resumed her argument with this person I couldn't see and that was the end of her conversation with me. My jaw dropped and I was dumbfounded. I don't know how she knew my name, that part wasn't the bewildering part. The fact I was "chasing" after Tracy blew me away (she was my neighbor two doors down, we'd known each other since very young), and I had this huge crush on her. Vicky across the street later came to me and said more or less the same thing about Tracy, that Tracy told Vicky that she really didn't like me "that way" but did like the attention, the way i would do things for her. Yeah, I was a stupid sap back then, but damn! how did crazy lady guess so accurately about my situation?
