Recently, I noticed he had unfriended me from Facebook, so I private messaged him asking why, as we had nothing but good times together. He told me that he was feeling really bad, fighting this cancer, and didn't want to see my posts about bodybuilding, pics of food, etc. - this was the last thing he wanted to think about. He was just trying to surround himself with loved ones and remain positive. We had a long talk that day, a few laughs, and I just told him that if he ever changed his mind and just wanted to talk, I was there.
That was the last time I spoke with Tommy. He felt like a little brother of sorts... such a positive, good-spirited kid. His light will never go out.
Gone, but never forgotten. RIP brother, I hope you're making some great gains on the other side. :)
