Would you get out of the car?

Driving down a 45 MPH road (2 lanes going 1 way). In the left hand lane signling and switching to the right lane. In the rear-view mirror a white car (quite a ways back) flies up on your ass, rides the horn all the way around you, gets in front of you with less that a car length between you and slams the brakes to a complete stop, almost causing you to rear end them. Then speeds off and less than a 1/4 mile down the road you come to a stop light and you are in a lane next to them. You roll down the window and ask what their problem is and before you can finish they start cussing at you, and telling you to shut up before they kick your ass.

Would you get out? the guy is the same age as you, maybe a little smaller (looked like about 185, im 195).

(I am asking this because it did happen, and I will tell the rest after I get some people personal reactions :P)

Of course not. Why would you get out? Why even roll a window down? I don't get it...

Well yeah that's the worst case scenario. But chances are, you'll never, ever see that person again. So would the few minutes of aggression be worth it over someone you'll never see again? Calm your nerves and always ask yourself, what am I going to gain? Money? Fame? None of that. Wasting your time bud. Better to let things like this go.

I smile when people honk at me. I'd only get out if someone came to me, then I'll shatter his jaw. Otherwise not worth it.

Last time I asked if a guy wanted to pull behind a church and "solve" our differences he pulled out a badge and turned out to be an plain clothes cop. I said something like "yah that figures" and took off. Guess I was lucky he didn't pursue the incident. I used to be ready to rock and a road raging mofo. Since I got a CHL, maybe 6 years ago, it doesn't bother me anymore when someone flips me off or calls me a fvcktard. I have turned from fight to flight I guess. I have to admit, fighting is kinda like getting laid. You feel better afterwards and you begin to crave it. So to answer your question, no, I wouldn't have got out. But I would have been ready.

I hear you on that. Looking back even now I feel ****ing amazing, but it wasnt worth it. I gained nothing and have nothing to show for the time and stress I caused.

Rest of the story. He was yelling all that stuff at me and I said back "Do you want me to get out?" he responded " get out and Ill **** you up".. So I kicked off my flipflops(yea flipflops are muh fighting shoes lol) got out of my truck and walked over to his car, as I was walking over his face changed from rage to :S and was sayin "get back in your car dude". I was past alking at that point, walked over to the car and laid into his face... Hit him once and as I hit him he said something, or he groaned, w.e it sounded like he said something else. He slouched over into the passenger seat and i went in again to hit him, and this one didnt connect nearly as hard because of how far in he was. So i went in again, at this point he was on his back and as I puched in he kicked out the window and caught the tip of my thumb(somehow didnt break it) and barely made contact with my face.

The last puch hit him because he pushed his head bac when he kicked out so I grabbed the heel of his 5 finger shoe and pulled his leg out the window until the back of his knee was hanging over the window, I opened the door and since he leg was hanging on the door it pulled his whole body out of the car. He had already unbuckeled his lap belt and he drove one of those cars with the automatic cross body straps so when i opened the door and it drug him out he got caught on the strap and i hit him in the face again which knocked him out of the strap and on the ground outside of his car. At this point a old lady from the car being him was running up yelling "Stop Stop Stop!" so i stopped and walked back to my car, as i was walking back he muttered "wanna **** with me follow me" gets in his car, runs the red light and speeds off. and that was it...

The old lady ended up next to me at the next light and I apologized to her and she said "he was driving like a maniac! did you get his license plate?" I said"No i didn't :P" last thing I want is for cops to get involved in that mess lol!

Looking back, would I do it again? Hell no. Hopefully we both learned something from that situation. Im just glad it turned out in my favor lol >.>

Keep a 1/5 of cheap liquor in your car.

Next time it happens force 1/2 of the bottle down his throat and spill a little on his clothes

walk back to your car and call the 1-800-DUI hotline

    problem solved

I would have done the exact same thing. Sure you don't gain anything from it but personal satisfaction but you can guarantee he won't do that again

  17. #17
I would've loved to have been there for that. All those fvcktards that drive like that need a lesson learned. I get flipped off at least once or twice a week, and I just smile and wave back. If you're in the fast lane and drive like a putz, move the f over. It's too bad we don't have rules like on the autobahn. Left lane for passing, or flying. Lol

About a year ago, I would have gotten out of the car and hit him before he even had a chance to say anything...

I've calmed down so much lately and don't let stupid people bother me. Is potentially spending the rest of your life in a prison cell worth showing some random driver "who's boss"? I don't think so...

I was out the other night and some Guido douche bumped into me knocking my drink out of my hand. I, being the gentlemen, apologized for HIS drunken behavior and he replied with "Yeah - you better be fvcking sorry". So what did I do? I walked away....

Arguing with an idiots proves that there are two idiots. It took me years to learn this...

I have too much to lose and I was more concerned with getting laid that night rather than fighting some belligerent jerk off. I was a bouncer for a long time and people claim that it helps keep you calm and mellow. That's a lie. It made me hate drunk people and people in general and gave me the shortest fuse ever. As soon as I stopped doing that kind of work - I calmed down and grew patience for everyone, ironic isn't it?

Yeh. Having worked doors you have an (what I feel) embarrassing amount of tolerence for idiots. I don't do doors anymore. Pays crap n boring as hell. Used to be fun when I was younger but the times would effect my gym waaay too much.
Funnily enough just today. After gym. Popped in my best mates bar/restaurant n some guy was starting on everyone. Pissed right up. I walked in. Calmly told him to stop swearing and calm down.
2 minutes later he walks up to me.
"Did just tell me to stop fu*king swearing?

I turned him round n marched him out. N stood their until he'd got bored n buggered off. Only took one loom and a get ur hands off me or I might think your going to assault me for him to get the message.

Could a beat him up. He asked me to fight him a few times. More likely he wanted me to hit him first n sue my mates business.

Didn't work. N I barred him. More fool him.

I would have gotten out of the car BUT my girl recently made comments that my road rage is not good and I am never really in a good mood while driving and I can tell it upsets her. I have put a new foot forward which actually started today to not get mad and let everything brush off my shoulder in relation to driving. Its tough but if you make it a focus to better yourself you can do it with enough will power.

nope, every vehicle i have there is a handgun in it.. I assume everyone else does too, (keeps me in my car) so all i would have done is followed him at a distance, called the cops saying you thought he was on drugs or what not, and you couldn't tell if he had a gun or not, he just tried to run you off the road, description and license plate #, mile marker and direction he's going..

    good times for him..

Same here. I don't step foot out of my house without my gun on my side and there's always one in the car. I don't think there's a lot of cars in texas that don't have guns.

Great story. Could have gone a very different direction had any number of variables been different but I think you know that. You just never know who youre dealing with. I've had my share of cases where I've done something stupid on impulse. Luckily ended well for me and the other fvck always deserved it. I don't instigate trouble but have no tolerance for those who can't behave in public. I'm older and wiser these days so you have to put your hands on me before I'll act now. I would not have got out of my truck. 15 yrs ago, definitely would have.

Wouldn't even waste my time getting out, but then I'm used to driving around ppl like that. Plus as long as someone doesn't mess with my family, or my possessions I'm not worried what they do. I learned a lesson a long time ago in high school, dude called my GF a whore so I pulled him out his car window while he pulled a knife and beat the hell outta him and I ended up In jail. My mom asked me later what it was all about, I told her. She asks well is she, I said no she said then why were you worried about it. I learned that lesson.

Naa. No one deserves to be "beaten" unless they attack you or do something more serious. Certainly not over a honk and some brake lights. I always say "Some guy is going to kick his ass one day". Don't be the "some guy".

Few weeks ago there was a similar incident in Austin. One guy threw a punch, the other guys head landed on the sidewalk. Comma for 2 weeks and died. Now the tough guy is on trial for murder and likely be in prison for life. One of those things that you just never think could happen when you're involved.

Like the other guys say, you have to assume the other guy has a gun, knife or even is better at fighting than you are.

And let's just say you did just fight him there and you kicked his ass. All he has to do is get your plate number and lawyer up and you'll be in some deep shit. Best thing to do is get some distance between you and him.

^ Agree, HK. Fighting is for self defense, not aggressively attacking someone that pissed you off because you have a short fuse.

What if when you punched the guy he moved and you punched him in the throat and he died. Or he had a medical condition which caused him to die? Do you think a jury is going to feel bad for you? You were the aggressor. You pursued him by getting out of your car and approaching him. You could be spending the rest of you life in prison and for what? Now ask yourself, was it worth it?

Dont do it made the mistake recently. Got out of car had a really quick altercation with the guy. Got back in my car put my hand on my thigh it was covered in blood. He stabbed me and I had no idea never even said a word. Surgeon said he missed the femoral artery by half a cm. Half cm and I would have bleed out in the street over what?

If I stopped and hit every person that pi$$ed me off on the road I would never make it to work on time.
