So I spent some time in London, Madrid and Ibiza. It was my first time in Europe and had an excellent time. So ****ing expensive though. Some things I learned.
Food, fashion, women are so far ahead of the US. The women are just on another level of hot. American girls are blown away by girls from Europe. I have to say that a lot of the Brits I met seemed to not be too fond of Americans and in fact most people did not seem to be too fond of Americans. They seemed more willing to speak when I said I was from NYC. All in all I found that Americans are more for random conversations then people from Europe.
I started my day in Piccadilly Circus in London and moved around to all the major tourist spots. Took some great pictures of London. The architecture of the buildings are so different from what you are used to in NYC. I really liked the look it gave the city. I was also surprised how many foreigners were in the tourist areas. I didnt hear many people speak English. I went to a couple of bars and ate at some different restaurants through out the day. I met a nice couple who were older and the wife was from NYC and they gave me a tour of some different bars. She came over to me as I was wearing a NY Giants hat. All in it was a great but super expensive day becuase the pound is almost 2-1 to the Dollar. Went to bed woke up and flew to Madrid.
I ****ed up and took half a xanax stick the night before so I was pretty much a zombie in Madrid. Didnt get many pictures and really didnt get a good chance to do some exploring. I was too focused on getting to Ibiza.
When I landed in Ibiza you could see there were dead bodies all over the airport. People just mangled from the week getting ready to go back home and they had no gas left in the tank. When I passed through customs both agents had sleeves of tatoos and Mohawks and instantly I knew it was party time.
The first night we all were supposed to take it easy. We rented a 7 bedroom villa in Can Furnet Ibiza. We had a pool, jacuzzi in my bedroom and the place was ****ing awesome BUT the ****ing Brit bastards lied to us about having air conditions. All we had were fans and during the day its gets to about a 105. It was in tolerable so sleeping was limited to like 2 hours a day plus from other reasons also....
Hit the strip in PLaya Den Bossa and went to some bars met some girls and just partied our asses of. The next day we hit the beach and the Meditteranean Sea was ****ing awesome. Super salty compared to beaches Us. Water was a perfect blue and the beaches were sandy and the best part all of the girls were topless. Nothing like having a conversation with a girl while she is topless. Met a broad from New Zeland and she was like you americans dont go topless do you and I am like no they dont. So this is pretty abnormal for you to be talking to a girl at the beach with tits right in your face. I said I think I could handle it.
I was a lil disappointed in the music the first few nights out there. Ibiza being the mecca for house music I have to say the crowds had no vibe but the parties were awesome and the party favors made NY's look like a joke.
The last few nights we hit up Space for Carl Cox which was totally awesome, DC10 which was super underground feel, Loco Dice at Usuhai pool party and then for the best dj in the wolrd Richie Hawtin at Space. For me Richie Hawtin at space would be equal to your sports team playing the super bowl at home. It just doesnt get any better.
We were comped at pretty much every party and the night of Hawtin we were walked in through the side entrance through the kitchen of Space and put into Vip. Once in VIP we bought a round of cocktails. 4 drinks = 160 euros which depending on your exchange was between 200-220 american $$$. We looked at the bar tender and said I am not paying for that are you crazy. Thats almost 50 american a drink. Tells us we would get kicked out if we dont. So form that point on it was water and lol. Hands down one of the greatest nights of music I have ever heard in my entire life.
After 7 nights in Ibiza I had lost 10 lbs and probably a few years off my life but I was ready to come. Almost missed my connecting flight, airline lost my luggage, and came down with a double ear infection and bronchitis but it was all worth it.
I am very jealous of their lifestyle in europe. I learned I was way too old for Ibiza as alot of people spend their summers their out of high school and during college. From most countries ibiza is a 2 hour plan ride and there was a ton of Non clubbing things to do there. Its very similar for Florida for people in NY. Had down to Miami to party or Boca to relax and eat well for the week.
Great trip and may try to go next summer one last time before I am married. If I am allowed....lol
