I honestly believe that most people would choose to have insurance if their employment offered it at a decant rate.
I have insurance through my union and it is based at an hourly rate. I must work so many hours to maintain coverage. It is pretty expensive and if I am only a few hours short for the quarter, I lose it and do not get any of the money back. That is my own dilemma.
But, that being said, something is definitely wrong with our healthcare system in the US. I don't think this new plan is the solution at all but I have no idea what is the solution. One thing I would like to see our country do is to quit rewardiong people who know how to manipulate the system so all they have to do is sit on their butts and go to the mailbox.
Sorry for rant. Short answer - Yep, definitely find it disturbing.
^ You do? I think the majority will just opt. Decent rates are a thing of the past.

I think something needs to be done but simply saying "well..... No one has an answer so we're going with my idea" is wrong.
Instead of the unsuccessful war on drugs, instead of putting ourselves in the middle of every other countries business..... How bout we sit the fvck down and come up with a better healthcare system.
Lets make our country the #1 priority for ourselves. The MAJORITY of Americans were AGAINST obamacare. I'm sorry I don't have a link to that..... But I did see it. Making a wrong decision because no other option was being put forward just doesn't seem like a good idea. But I guess every president wants to leave some kinda mark.
Clinton left it on lewinskis dress
Bush left it by choking on a pretzel and going to war with Iraq.
And Obama has his health care bill
I went without insurance for a year because I did not have enough hours. Times were tough. I had to pay for kids braces, and my kids to be treated for strep twice. If I had to pay for a tonsilectomy or for the shoulder surgery I needed I would of been in for well over 12K total. Maybe I am brainwashed but having no insurance makes me feel all kinds of anxiety.
There could/would be a lot of revenue coming into the system if they would legalize weed. I don't care about weed either way but it isn't more dangerous than smoking cigs or drinking IMO. Even if legal, I still wouldn't smoke it.
