Beards (manly men only)
I have been off work for the past two weeks on a staycation and I never shaved for over a week and decided to keep a beard. Any other beard aficionados here?

I never fully shave to skin anymore. I trim it as close to the skin I can get with a professional trimmer and rock the 5 o'clock shadow.

On and off here. I let it grow in winter but once it gets to long the itching irritates me.

I try and grow it in, but it gets to that same point every time where it looks like pubes and itches like crabs, and I shave the bastard off!

keep a 5 oclock shadow kinda beard myself...
started way back during the war days as it was a way of showing your political affiliation (back in the 80s only members of the Lebanese Forces grew their beards) and it stayed....
started trimming it closely or shaving it into a goatee after the talibans and islamic radicals came to the international scene... but luckily most of them shave the mustache and keep the long beard...
over here, every point of your physical aspect tells your affiliation, your religion your political directions etc... heck even the colors are segregated: yellow for hizbala, orange for the aounists (same boat as hizbala) , olive drab for Lebanese forces etc... in a country with 18 religions and sects, its all about the messages you send

If I shave more than like once a week, my face breaks out in a major rash. I've got sensitive skin..
But yeah, If I go more than 3 weeks without shaving, the itching becomes unbearable.

I like facial hair. It tickles my balls...

funny i do the same thing. this winter im thinking of letting it grow for like 3-6 months and seeing what itll do. ive never done that before. i dont have very thick facial hair so the beard will probably suck but it will be fun anyways, especially since i shave my head. my beard now is often longer than my hair. i dont use a bic on my head either.

If you are truly a beard fan, these shirts are funny as heck. Beard T-shirts, Shirts and Custom Beard Clothing
I always have some type of beard. Mostly just week long stubble during the summer and I have a 4-6 month growth by spring which I trim back down. I usually grow it out around the 1st of November. I trim it neatly for Christmas/ family get togethers and then let it grow wild until April. Summer I use a #1 or #2 setting on beard trimmer.

Fascinating stuff Othello. I guess if you're color blind you could get screwed over pretty quick!
I don't think I could grow much of a beard if I tried. Probably a lack of testosterone or something......

Ok I just bought my first grooming kit. The only time I've ever used a trimmer is for my pubes, so all these attachments and stuff are complex. Where do I start?

I'm a hairy bastard. I usually go 2 or 3 days without shaving but by day 3 my cats are trying to groom me so I have to shave it. I get 11am shadow.

I think I'm at a little over a week without shaving and my face is itching majorly. But I kind of want to grow a wicked beard.

I do that every so often. I want to know what its like and what I'd look like with a crazy beard but at a week, its poking my neck during the day and my shoulders when I sleep, feels greasy, itchy, and just uncomfortable so I never get past about 10 days max. I always get pissed and shave it. It would be a shame for a man to live his whole life never knowing the majesty of having grown a wicked beard so I have it on my bucket list. Lol. Seriously! Something I will do before I can rest in peace.
