Donating Blood
Well ive been reading up you need to donate blood due to increase in RBC, Hemoglobin due to excessive tissue being built means more oxygen needed = higher RBC
...Although your body doesnt just produce extra RBC and disrupt homeostasis for no reason, it must have REASONS to do this therefore by donating the extra RBC isnt it counterproductive as the reason its produced is to supply extra oxygen and nutrients to the muscle? Wouldnt it just rebound extremely fast and get back to basepoint <1 week after your blood donation?
Just curious to see answers, always interested in these stuff )

Good question. All I know is that since donating every other month, my count is staying well within normal parameters. So it does work for me. Before donating, my blood was so thick I was in danger of a stroke or even heart attack. If left untreated, your blood can get so thick it actually clots in the veins and arteries causing blood blockage, thereby either chocking off blood to your brain or other vital organs making your either an invalid or dead. So it's a very very important issue to stay on top of. IMO

its not so much the RBC, Hematocrit is the one you need to watch. danger level is 55% and higher.

Donating one time won't help...... It needs to be done frequently. As per my fathers hrt doc

I never have and my bloods are fine. but i also dont eat meat for over 8 years now. I think extra iron/rbc and hemo can be an issue for many it seems. keep eye on it. my last test came back good. I don't like taking out my blood even for tests... just me..

yeh me 2. im on TRT and was aware of monitoring hemotocrit since starting but in 2 years my hemotocrit levels have not gone up.. ive been ready to give blood but my doc (who also knows ab out giving blood) said there was no need. so maybe some people dont have to donate blood...?
oh and i eat a shitload of meat.. like 2-3lbs per day..

This is dose dependant and individualistic. Once you start cycling, your HCT will most certainly go up. The older we get, the more impact it has. The more you inject, the more hepcidin is suppressed. Also, if you're a healthy non-smoker, don't have sleep apnea and don't live in high altitude areas, you're at far less risk; as Oxygen deprivation coupled with Hepcidin suppression amplifies RBC production.

Even after donating mid-cycle my RBC was high right after the cycle. So I had to donate again.

Hydration can be tricky at times. You could be dehydrated today and have a reading of 52%, then hydrate and have a reading of 49% tomorrow. Either way, never hurts to donate. On average, a donation mid-cycle should suffice, unless you're running vile garbage such as EQ.

Funny you say that. EVERY time they do something different. Usually they ask if one of their trainees or admin can do it as they need to keep up certs. Today they brought over a trainee as asked if they could literally "feel" my veins. So, the trainee went to town "feeling" while the supervisor explained which vein was best to use. I offered a quad vein. If she was better looking I would have altered that a little....

Another question, As hormones disturb the hypothalmus, does steroids have an impact on Thyroid? as im on cycle right now i feel like my heart is a bit faster, burning fat whilst at maintanence/little surplus and body FEELS hotter but temperature is same as always.

heart beating faster doesn't mean its a good thing, and it doesn't mean you're burning more fat. I don't think steroids effect thyroid.

is this your resting rate? like I said if steroids made your heartbeat go faster it doesn't mean you're burning more fat, fat is burned when you're doing something physical, your heart rate goes sup because of it not the other way around.

I worded it very incorrectly i meant would steroids effect your thyroid which would mean a more active thyroid and when your thyroid is more active your RHR raises.
Yes that is my RHR.

depends on how much steroids and how long I guess anything is possible, but as far as I know steroids don't effect thyroid.

one thing that made my heart beat faster was thickening of the blood, how long you been on this cycle and have you checked your RBC, Hemoglobin and Hematocrit lately? if these levels are high simply go and donate blood to bring all these values down to normal range, and it might help reduce your heartbeat rate.
for whatever its worth, my thyroid pre TRT was underactive, and now while on TRT is much better, my levels pre TRT were like 3.5-4 and now they're about 1.9-2.3 on scale 0.5-4.5. granted i supplemented with iodine for one month more than a year ago, but TSH has been very consistent. my point is steroids could help improve thyroid but not sure about cycle does though!

probably too soon for any side to occur, it could be anything really, maybe diet, not sleeping well. just keep an eye on it, it should get better as your body is adjusting, if not then re-evaluate.

Tachycardia won't cause a heart attack or stroke. That would be from atrial fibrillation and/or hypertension and arterial disease
(and you don't need to worry just yet).
Androgens themselves increase basal metabolism.

I donated on Saturday - was feeling a tiny bit rundown coming into the 6th week of a cycle. Had a great workout on Sunday & feel even better today.
Giving blood makes me feel good in more ways than one -
