cop hit couple on bike
So I came across this video again on face book. I know a lot here have issues with police, and this is not about bashing them or anything. I have full respect for them. My dad was a cop for 25+ years. I would have been one too, but got in trouble as a kid lol :/..
Anyways....pretty amazing dash board cam video here.

There should be a camera at ALL times facing the officer and monitoring speed. This could have been a case of texting while driving or using the built-in laptop. Or could have simply been just a vision issue or something out of the officers' control. But we are far too advanced to avoid better camera systems in police cars that could result in immediate findings, vs costly investigations and trials.
Hope everyone recovers well. Interested to see what GodFather thinks of this footage.~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

that's terrible, I ride a bike and the last thing I expect is to get hit by a cop! I agree with Austin, looks like he was looking else where and simply didn't see them.

Not good, and I agree with you all on this he was doing something, SP he will get slap on the hand. No one is perfect but I'm on the road 12 hrs a day and I see everyone texting or talking. 7 out 10 cars that pass me have their phone in their hands, cops included. I have a few cop friends, they drink and drive too. I raced my sp buddy, he was in his troopers car and I was in my pov. It's just their job, they ppl too. Hope they heal ok.

I agree, most likely on his in car computer, perhaps on a steroid web site
Hope they recover well. The technology already is in use in many dept. that can monitor all of the things Austin mentioned. Small shock sensing boxes are hooked to the in car video systems. When they are activated they activate the in car cameras (many now have cameras facing in as well as out). They are also hooked to the brakes and speedo and record the info from both.
You log as many miles as some of those guys do and your bound to have an accident, couple that with all of the equipment they stack in those rides that cause various distractions. It takes an octopus with a phd in computer science to run it all.
