Good thermo
My buddy is looking for a good thermo to help him cut bodyfat he's probably like 35% and loosing steadily. A lot of people I know ask me for advice on almost anything related to fitness and I can't answer this question because I never really used them.

Honest to good truth. I've used "fat burners" a long time ago. Do not believe in them at all. IMO horrible for you.
I would use Austin's fat stack. No sides. No shakes. No crappy feeling. Just results. Lol, I need to be paid for this. I sound like a promotors...

At 35% bf he should be able to drop shit loads of weight through diet and cardio alone. He shouldn't be starting thermogenics, IMO, until he has a grasp of diet and his weight else he is likely to start relying on them and using them to make up for slips in diet.

45 extra mins of cardio.

patience is important when cutting. u dont want to throw all ur tools at the problem (body fat) at once. it will leave you nowhere to go when u plateau, which is inevitable. at 35% he has a long row to hoe.. as long as fat is consistently dropping every week i would not change anything!
IMO thermogenics would be better kept for 15% and below. i really dont even think they are necessary then...
