We have 2 days off here in Leb. Happy eid wherever it applies.

Aust i dont think they fast in Adha (rida can u confirm)?

As far as i know adha marks the date when Abraham offered to sacrify his son and ended up sacrifying a sheep/goat instead.

Adha also marks pilgrimage season to Mekka...but again my religious facts are not 100% spot on so excuse me for any innacuracies

Do people still follow tradition? Go from house to house of friends and visit for 10 minutes and eat sweets?

    Good times!

They dont even wait until after Halloween anymore. You know what the best thing is about November 1st? All the Halloween stuff is on sale. I must have 10K worth of Halloween stuff. lol I have not even got to set up the last 2 years due to weather, working and timing. This year I wont either. The house we are moving out of is full of moving boxes. The house we are moving into is full of remodel stuff. I cant wait for the 1st Halloween in the new house.

Ohh Hell yes, next year is the year. Halloween is on a Friday. I will finally get to unpack some of my animatronics I got over the last couple of years.
This is one I got last year at less than 1/2 price and looks really good but not nearly one of my best.

Macy's announced they'll be open Thanksgiving evening. They used to open at midnight, now it's even earlier.

They "claim" 60% of the employees scheduled are volunteers and will be paid 1.5 x pay. Sucks for that 40% that were mandatorily scheduled.

Seriously, no way I can work a couple hours after a thanksgiving dinner.

So far - I havent seen any real christmas adverts in the UK! The super stores have Halloween and Xmas stuff up though, which is a little confusing! Big fat man in a red suit breaks into your house during the night whilst you're asleep... Could be Xmas or Halloween!

I actually enjoy the christmasy songs, gets me right in the mood. I have a young boy though, so maybe I am biased currently. I love all the shit xmas movies, junk food and hot chocolate!
