Wow setting someone on fire in Georgia only gets them a misdemeanor? What a state to live in. I wonder what the charge would be for using a nail gun on someone?

See the way I see it, is this is one stupid man....joking around. He plays with his lighter....it sparks a flame. The gas pump is set in that automatic position. He sees the flame, afraid it will blow his truck up, so he takes it out (protecting his truck), which ends up spraying on her.

If he did it on purpose....she would and should press charges.

Guess im just hoping the guy is just stupid and not that sick, to set her on fire on purpose. But I could be wrong

And agreed he should be charged with endangerment of everyone in the gas station. If she says it was on purpose then should be charged as attempted murder.

From the looks of it, I think the guy was just trying to prove a point that smoking while filling up doesn't cause fires. And to prove it he even lit his lighter by the gas tank filling. And boy was that idiot wrong.

I don't think he should go to prison for that, but people that stupid also shouldn't be allowed to roam this earth freely. I think the state should force him to get a vasectomy. Just to make sure that he doesn't breed.

^^^ maybe not for what he did to the wife if she doesn't press charges, but for posing a danger to the rest. he knew the danger and he did it anyway.

I dont think criminal charges should be brought up on him except malicious mischievous maybe. He was being a dumb sh*t and should have to pay for everything of course as well as some sort of charges but not with intent to do harm.

I'm pretty sure a divorce is in his near future and I have no doubt his wife will be awarded a life time of alimony that is deserved in this case.

Agreed. Looks like he pulled pump out of trunk and aimed straight at her. Who knows... Nothing surprises me these days :-/

He pulled it out and of course the nozzle was pointed away from him leaving the only direction towards her and I'm sure his knee jerk reaction to point it away from himself and his truck just left her in the line of fire so to speak.

I have no doubt it was not on purpose or he would have light it after taking it out of the truck, not before. He is just a dumb ass who was trying to prove how smart he was only proving how dumb he really is.
