encrypted email, still necessary
Been out of the game for about 4 years, just wonder if encrypted email is still necessary and what email to use. I once had Hush and Safe-mail but from what I have read Hush turned things over.

Nothing is perfect, but I'm sure it's better than regular webmail. Look into Tor.

The best sources will pay for a SecureNYM e-mail account, as things are done in such a way that the company itself cannot decrypt the info if it wanted to. But like the aforementioned stated, where theres a will theres a way, and when your number is up they will pull out all the stops.

Seems like it wouldn't matter how great of an email service you use:
1. You have to stay with the one your source accepts emails from to begin with. Though I admit some email providers are safer than others and some sources just haven't figured it out yet.
2. Regardless of how weak or how strong your email is the government doesn't have to have your email to nail you if they want you. All they need is a hit on your package and the next thing you know your getting a controlled delivery. Then it's all down hill from there for you.
3. Also I'm not saying the original poster (OP) here is a kid. But..... If your a teenager or an adult living at your parent's house and ordering packages I hope you have enough respect for your parent's hardship paying the mortgage payments; to not have packages sent to their home. Have it sent somewhere else and don't jeapordize your parent's privacy and possible forfeiture of their home to the court.
It's all a risk in this game being an athlete whether your just competing with your own personal records and improving your personal health, or your competing professionally. You just have to take the risks and stay as safe as possible.

It's about minimising, rather than eliminating risk.
I looked at mutemail.com, neomailbox, unspyable.com, anonymousspeech.com and countermail.
I wanted something that didn't go thru the US/EU at all, and had their servers in countries that weren't going to just bend over and do whatever the US wanted. Also, some of the places don't keep copies of anything, so there is nothing to turn over to anyone.
Also, just FYI, anything you send as a subject line in an email address is considered public, even if the email contents are not. So anyone along the way can search that, so never use some obviously illegal subject heading.
