    Yeah, happy Armistice Day, everyone.

I actually wish Congress didn't modify this holiday to include veterans of other wars. I feel it would've been best to give veterans in general a different day to be recognized on. WW1 was without a doubt the most violent and gruesome war ever to have been fought. Most of the "rules" to war were put in place due to how awful the great war was. The soldiers/heroes who had the courage to fight, and endure the horrors they saw on both fronts need to be remembered and honored regardless of the side they fought on.

We need to remember that war, even if nothing more than to see how awful people can descend to. And maybe we can talk our problems out rather than resorting to fighting worse than caged animals.

"To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations…" - Woodrow Wilson Nov. 1919
