    lymph nodes?

so I took a few days off to go skiing and woke up Christmas with a little pain in my armpit. It was a little red and swollen in one spot, but I didn't think much of it.

Christmas day that spot was a little better, there were 3 or 4 other spots under each arm. Pretty obviously lymph nodes. Feel like little painful marbles or beans.

Those places in the armpits are now slightly better, but I have a painful and puffy place just below my right nipple.

I haven't been sick lately (other than a very slight dry cough). Any suggestion as to the possibilities?

I'm 44 - in great health - and haven't used gear in years.

Most often the presence of swollen nodes signals an infection. Just because you feel ok doesn't mean that there isn't something your body is fighting off!

Thanks - kind of what I was thinking; but the swelling and pain below the nipple is throwing me off a little. The lymph nodes under the arms seem to be getting better after a couple of days, but that part definitely isn't.

It's a system so it will often times show in an area and then travel to other nodes. Most likely a virus or bacteria. Either way, a quick visit to your GP might be a good idea to stay ahead of it.

there is allot of connections between the breast and armpit, and infection can travel. I get these once in a while, I hate them, they are painful!

Thanks, Bass. I've had the whole pain below the nipple thing a couple of times before. Seems to have started about the time I was adding a lot of protein to my diet and lifting heavier. Usually cleared up in several days. The fact that it now showed up at the same time as the armpit lymph nodes just had me interested. I'm kind of leaning toward a cyst. I'll give it a week to clear until I get "concerned" and make an appointment and another week of waiting for the appointment before i go into panic mode. lol

Lymphadenitis is more common than people realize. The urgency to diagnose ad treat depends on the number of affected lymph nodes, their size, degree of pain, and etiology (cause). Steroids have an immunosuppressive effect and the more cycles you run consecutively and/or the longer you cycle, the more likely you will experience lymphadenitis to some degree. A proper differential diagnosis will include evaluation of related symptoms. Of particular relevance would be the following:

    - fevers
    - cold/flu symptoms
    - night sweats
    - unexplained bleeding/bruising
    - weight loss
    - difficulty swallowing
    - dyspnea (shortness of breath)

If your lymph nodes change in size (become bigger) or condition (become hard or rubbery feeling) or the swelling persists past two weeks, you will need to see your MD for proper examination and treatment.

I have't used any AAS in many years. Was planning on doing a test-e cycle starting in February; but I'm definitely gonna get this cleared up first.
