Certain parts of your job
Is there certain parts of your job you hate doing and ones what you like.

Yeah, I hate it when it interferes with my surfing and posting.... Damn them expecting me to actually do work.
Yeah I could complain about this or that but honestly there is not anything I can really b*tch about. I would have to have one hell of a pay raise to change what I am doing right now. I'm not talking about 10K or 20K a year. I would need at least $50K more a year to change.
I am also doing what I swore I would never do and had no interest in doing 10 years ago. Be careful what you say you would never do in life. Life has a funny sense of humor.
We have one co-worker who is a thorn in everyone's side. Even management wants to get rid of him now. I mentioned him being a problem as well as a loose cannon and is someone I could see going postal if the right buttons were pushed so I always watch my back and check his demeanor when he comes on shift.
I/we wish he would find another job due to him being a back stabber, always trying to find dirt on anyone, everyone thinking it's the right thing to do and good for the company; himself excluded of course.
After my co-worker having a big problem with him and both of us also having a weird conflict with him that got escalated to management and several others including management who he as reported to HR making things up (everyone is out to get him) I/we have also said it would not really bother us to much if he didnt come back not only because of finding another job but would not be to upset if he had to quit/retire because of medical problems or an accident???
Again be careful what you say or even think sometimes, you never know what might come true. We just found out last week he may be quitting soon due to medical issue, some type of lung cancer. He says he has 3mo - 3yrs depending on how advanced it is. I'm also being even more careful due to his history he may just decide to take as many as he can with him instead of enjoying what he has left. I have been trying to convince him to sell everything and move to Thailand (he is single). He said he has been thinking of doing the same thing. We can only hope.Last edited by lovbyts; 01-13-2014 at 02:11 AM.

Absolutely. If at all possible, I try to get them done first. Can't always do that though....
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

I can honestly say I love what I do and where I do it. I get to work from home whenever I need or want to as long as I have no commitments that require my body to be in the office.
I have to talk to customers sometimes. As a programmer, I am usually talking to a non-programmer and usually not even technically minded people which can be a challenge but as gripes go I think that's pretty minor.
I'd also have to be offered a very substantial salary increase to coax me out of my current job, as LB said. I'm there too. I'm also not doing what I would have thought 10yrs ago. Programming was my hobby, not anything I ever thought I'd be getting paid to do. I was in LE and then when I figured out what I really wanted to do, financial sector. Both completely unrelated to what I do now. Life is a trip.

Hated my job, quit last Thursday as my new years resolution. Made around $60k a year doing masonry. Gave it up to give sales a shot, starting today for minimum wage plus commision. Put myself in the position where I can afford to take the financial cut to give it 100% effort for a year. Fingers crossed, have very positive outlook on the whole thing.

Lol, your membership is solely based on you 'liking' post #6. You seem personable to me. I don't smile just for pure social posturing but I don't fight it either. I smile when it's a natural response. I don't trust people who smile as a social signal. It always looks fake anyways. I know people who just smile all the time but it's a natural smile. I guess they are just happy to be alive or something. Lol. I'm not. I guess. Lmao idk. Cracking up here never tried to explain this before.

Personally I hate my smile, especially in pictures but I have been told several times by people I dont know well that they like the fact I always smile and look happy. I do try to always have a positive outlook on things. I see the cup as being 1/2 full even when things are not going good. I have to admit though I dont think I smile as much as I use to due to being dragged down a little by an emotional vampire.
Most of the time you can tell when someones smile of laugh is fake. My sister laughs ALL the time. I mean you could say a friend just died and she would lol???? I think it's some kind of nervous habit?

Laughter or smiling is a type of nervous response. It's why people smile when they've been caught doing anything embarrassing. Or feel uncomfortable such as.when being questioned. Like when kids get asked by parents or cops "oh you think this is funny?" Because they burst out laughing or cracked a smile out of nervousness. Being told someone.just died and the response is laughter is also documented. It's an inappropriate response to that event but some people are wired that way. Doesn't mean they actually think it's funny.

Definitely. Its challenging to be productive when you're not having fun. There are certain aspects of my job that I love, and then others I want nothing to do with. I love being able to work from home so much. I can cook in my own kitchen, leave to train. And then there's the travel.. no bueno for the most part. I can be interesting but I could do without it. Don't like leaving the family for days at a time and very challenging on the diet.

The only thing I hate about my job(I own my business)is dealing with the some of the b!tchy, whinning, ungrateful employee's.
Other than that I love it, dealing with the customers is a piece of cake and the bookkeeping is no big deal(full time office manager) plus I take a two hour break in the afternoon to go workout.I travel once a month to my other locations so that breaks it up a little.
I cant complain life is good.

I hate the bitchy grown men that I work with small minded dick weeds that like to run their mouths about every one. But never to them directly . Nothing but a pack of twats that are scared to get blood on their hands. But stand back and gasp when the working few handle our business
I love telling them to shut the **** up and get the **** away from me..

I love being on set. Calling the shots. All the excitement and energy. I can't say I "hate" but I really don't like the editing. Some people really like seeing their project come together. For me it's just a computer and the task is so monotonous.
