Anyone cook with cast iron??
I try to cook with cast iron as much as I can. It's just fun for me. I've read online that it can cause excess iron build up in the body, prob bs but idk. Just curious if anyone else enjoys using it. It crisps stuff up like no other pans can do not to mention it'll give the grill a run for its money with steaks and chops

Twice a week at least you can sear a steak in a seasoned cast iron pan then per heat the oven while your at it. Toss green beans right on top. And set the pan into the oven. Till its at your preferred color. I like rare
And if the wife is out of town I put it on a pot holder and eat right out of the pan. Makes me feel like a cave man I freaking love it

I don't like using regular cast iron unless it's coated with Teflon. Otherwise cleanup is always a pain in the ass.

Cook in it from time to time, but yes, you need to always look for food.

I do all the time. I have a few diff size frying pans/skillets and a large dutch oven. All are very well seasoned and aas far as clean up I can cook eggs in one and wipe it clean with a paper towel. Its all in the seasoning of the pan.

I'd take that frozen rabbit and throw it in my Dutch Oven and make a mean rabbit sauce piquant!!! I love cast iron pots! I have one that is around 50 years old!
