Any of you remember sars back then lol?

So many people panicked when it went viral, how did it feel ? i was at school in "HONG KONG" at that time, had to put the mask on and wash hands outside school then enter, they started making new laws by putting on fines on people who threw rubbish or allowed their dog to poo in public even spit.($HKD1,500) was a lot back then and this law is still in force.
I even heard when a plane from Hong Kong was going to the UK and they told them not to land or else they'll shoot the plane down and Hong Kong plane had to turn around and go back,

Most of all, i just found out people were given CORTISOL RAISING STEROIDS TO TREAT SARS AT THAT TIME, and all kids at my school had to take some injections also even tho we were not infected,

it feels like the movie "World War Z"(Brad Pitt is the star so i am sure you'll love the movie)
you should watch it, it's a nice movie.

I was practicing at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto when we had our outbreak. Any person entering the hospital was required to wear a mask and anyone who was symptomatic was triaged in a "clean" area of the hospital away from the general patient population.

Curious as well. There has been a spike in H1N1 lately and a few cases of H7N9 that the CDC is observing but nothing pandemic like that seen in 2009.

I work in a hospital in the GTA and we had similar precautions at the time. We also had a major C.Diff outbreak around the same time, which made headlines regularly...

Let me describe a miserable day for me a couple years back....Working 12 hours in an isolation gown with a facemask, in a negative pressure room...Hot, sweaty, disgusting....probably die from bad hygiene before you die from H1N1...
