Men and piercings.
Maybe I'm just old-school. But more than half of my staff (mostly under 30 years of age) have ears pierced, some with tongue rings, some have nipple rings (according to them). I don't allow any facial piercings at work and some of these kids don't like it.
What exactly is so cool about a man having a tongue ring or whatever? Do broads find it attractive? To each their own I guess, I just never got the concept.~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

Had my ears gauged and snake bites, took them out years ago.
What's your stance on tattoos Austinite? I know you like them on your ladies, but do you have any yourself? How do you differentiate acceptance between tattoos and piercings?

When I was young and thought I was gonna be a rockstar and had my eyebrow pierced. Eventually I grew up and realized not only that I wasn't gonna be a rockstar, but I, in fact, looked like a tool. I took it out and now make fun of people that wear them.

Never had any but to each their own. Have friends that are pierced and tatted up.

Old school here. Never had any. I can easily wear a nose ring due to nasal surgeries but feel/think anything more than a standard ear piercing looks gay. Gauges are even worse. If you are going for that look then its all good.

Tounge rings on women can serve a purpose, but I can take it or leave it.

I don't have tattoos. But I have no issue with tattoos unless they're lame. I mean, a guy with hearts all over seems silly. And a broad with a wrecking ball isn't exactly attractive. Tattoos are super unique and tell a story about the individual. Not remotely close to piercings.
But although I don't have any, I don't have an issue with tattoos at all. Honestly, I don't have an issue with piercings either, I just don't want them in my workplace and don't comprehend the ideology. But I don't think it makes you stupid or anything, just trying to understand.~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

To each their own. I don't discriminate against pierced or body modified people. I could honestly care less. However, when it comes to business, its the choice of the owner and how he wants his image displayed. Sadly, people will always judge, and it will always be a factor.
Personally, I don't really care for that look on myself. But I am tattooed.

What work setting are we talking about here? Gym or a Bank? I mean, it tends to be quite different but next time the teller sits in a t-shirt with tattoos overs his arms, piercings in his ears, tongue and nose I'll consider taking my business elsewhere.

Funny from what I read on the net, a couple of decades or so ago, ear piercings were all gay. Left ear was a top man right ear was bottom. Then as it became more fashionable straight men wore left ear piercings and gays wore right. Then both ears became pierced and everyone threw in the towel so anymore it doesn't mean anything except you like your ears pierced. Then it all progressed to all other parts of the body. I've seen some mighty scary piercings myself and wonder how in the heck can they use their cvck after putting in so many piercings all up and down the shaft? Personally it's a turnoff for me on the genitals. But to each their own.

You could always get a fashionable Prince Albert piercing and then be forced to sit down to pee now.

The dentist office that I used to go to. The dental hygienist had a neck tattoo looked like gang art.

Tattoo acceptance can vary. Something good and professionally done is more accepted than some at-home scratcher's 'artwork'.

Tattoos for me. Never had any desire to get pierced anywhere. My wife has her ears and navel pierced.
I dated a stripper who had her lip pierced. It was mostly a nuisance.
To each his/her own. I respect the no facial piercing rule. I keep my tats covered in work places.

I have both ear lobes gauged, both tragus pierced and my left conch pierced. All were done in high school along with the tongue (ladies loved), but took that one out a good 15 years ago.

when i was 16 i had my ear pierced, but it got ripped out in a mosh pit on Miami beach so I left it out and never had a desire to get any other piercings. Those big things kids put in their ear that stretch and deform them is stupid and I just don't get it. I do have some ink but in Hind site I wish I had not received any. I think kids these days are more impulsive and really have no concept about later on in life, I mean shit all the kids these days are brain washed into thinking the world is going to end any day.
