Years ago, I took pride in saying I never got sick. From the time I was out of the military til I was about 45, I seldom became sick. but here lately? ho shit!
I picked up a cold a couple of weeks ago. then came the lung infection. I was coughing up what appeared to be tissue. it wasn't, I was told. but severe. I hung tough for a little while, and then went to the clinic. they gave me, along with other things, some oral antibiotics with the instruction that if it didn't get better, to come back in three days. On day three, it was worse, not better. I went back to the clinic, and they gave me an IV and infused it with what appeared to be at least 100ml of antibiotics. could have been more. they told me to come back the next day. another IV and another round of AB in the IV. Just finished the oral AB and I'm finally infection free. still have asthma symptoms including dry rattling cough.
I was told there is an especially nasty strain of AB resistant bacteria going around, and unless treated, probably won't get better on it's own
so, mates and lasses, ol' Roman is still alive and kicking. =)
you don't get to be as old an cantankerous as me if you succumb to the first pvssy strain of "bugs" that goes around.
