    Hockey before masks

Early hockey goalies didn't wear masks
Begins his career kinda ugly and it doesn't get better. If you told me I was gonna be tending goal and having slap shots 100 mph going towards my head I would say no thanks. Ill sweep floors when the game is over

It works now... Hockey players are the toughest/craziest sports players there are... Barenuckle fighting on a hard surface, throats being slashed with skates, and skating is the fastest way a person can move without the use of machines.

Hockey guys are the baddest guys on the planet. Ever watch them get a broken leg and still skateoff.

Before face masks, hockey players didn't use curved sticks. So the puck wasn't going anywhere near as fast as it does now. And because the sticks weren't curved, you didn't have pucks flying as high as they do now when shot. Plus, they're a lot better of athletes now. Hockey players today train year round. In the old days, they got regular jobs in the off season.

If they stopped playing with face masks today, goalies would be risking death every game they play.

    No argument here.

I've had my share of hockey injuries from 16 years:

    - all 10 fingers broken, some more than once
    - broken nose
    - finger nearly removed by skate blade
    - blown ACL
    - three broken ribs
    - dislocated shoulder
    - bruised spinal column and 48 hours in traction
    - 38 stitches in total
    BG and songdog like this.

They were nuts but the shot speed was a fraction of what it is now. I love hockey my league just ended last night. It sounds like bs but I once put a guy through the glass right at centre ice.

I was 270 and played hockey and guys were scared of me. Problem was, I had no shot and balance wasn't that good, so I really wasn't that strong on skates.

Sweet Jesus . How tall were you on skates ? That would make for some serious board checking. Like getting smoked by a VW bug..

Where I'm from women would throw panties at your head and carry you off. If you did that.

It doesnt matter how good looking she is, some where, some one is tired of her shit.

Light travels faster then sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Great place to start researching ! http://forums.steroid.com/anabolic-s...-database.html
