I was doing my rounds at costco today. They had a both set up for free cholesterol checks.
With a quick poke of the finger and slide a sample of my blood into there hand held machine I got results. Is this even accurate?
I came back at 125 total cholesterol. My HDL was 30.
This is down from my last blood work. When my Total was 196 and HDl was 53 back in May. Im just finishing PCT fyi.
Wierd booth for costco imo! They were pushing slo niacin, fish oil and baby aspirin. Which I already take.
They said I was good because my tc/hdl ratio was 4.1 which is low on the scale for Coronary heary disease risk. (never heard of this).
Thoughts?
