Question for the Newbs...................
What motivated you to stop browsing and actually join up here at the board?
Was it due to the ability to ask questions?
Interact with the board members?
Free bottle of product from the sponsor?
I'm just curious. I see there are 41,250 users on line right at the moment, mostly all browsing.
So what was the tipping point that made you decide to join up?

Ability to ask questions for me. Reading the profiles on the main page can be a bit misleading in terms of planning a proper cycle, its great to be able to ask for critiques and advice. Im sure this forum has saved many people from running an unsuccessful cycle

I honestly believe the "visitor" counts are made up. I don't think that many people are browsing when so few actually post.
For me, it was too ask questions.

Try Google "steroid " and see what's the FIRST link that comes up.

that seems doubtful. I've modded on a few other boards in the past, and due to smaller size, the fluctuations are more noticeable. There are certain traffic patterns you begin to notice. Knowing this, I've looked at this board, and those same patterns exist, although not as dynamic due to more people in different time zones. There are also seasonal patterns.
The "traffic" is not made up.

mostly to ask questions and research. joined back in 2006 i think...before that id just read/surf the board but also other boards....u grow to be able to discern BS eventually with time and when i noticed that this forum had the least amount of BS and people werent trying to push/peddle stuff on you i took the plunge.
been on and off based on whether i was cycling or prepping for a cycle...id post, ask some questions, but mostly read read read. i came into the lounge only last year...before that id stick mostly to the AAS category...then gh when i started my cycle last may...then nutrition....and so on.
i also like to share my experiences with people who are just starting. wish id have that source of info back when i started in the late 80s...back then it was the coach who decided what u hould take and how to take it...hehehe...the amount of BS theyd shove down our throats is amazing.

I was looking for a new home. One with less children and parrots. I was also told that TR would send me a check, still waiting...

I found a board that austinite wasn't registered at so I stayed. He followed and that forced me to become his superior

I realized I was getting BS advice from my "friends" and started researching and found this forum.
I read for about two hours one night when I realized that there were some very knowledgeable members on this forum compared to some of the other forums.
But I am still waiting for my free bottle

not to open up a discussion about sources, but I know many at the gym that get their gear from a local gym rat put too much weight on the "advice" they get from their source. I've heard terrible advice coming from these type of individuals (sources) and some of it can actually be quite dangerous. I like to think of this place as somewhere a member can come and be safe when they do ask questions and try to learn.

That is exactly what happened in my case. My friend has lifted for years and has ran a lot of gear plus he is a very large man so I talked to him about gear and seemed like he knew what he was talking about ( he was a big man he had to know right?) It took about a 9 months before I realized he had no idea how to run a proper cycle.
The funny part about everything is that he makes comments everytime he sees me that I am making a lot more progress than he ever did when he started running gear.

I browsed until I had syphoned all the info I could.... I learned as much as I could from reading and others questions.... Learned about diet, proper dosed cycles, pct etc..... When I felt good about the knowledge I had, and needed some specific answers and felt I was just about ready to run a cycle I joined.... Browsing was good for me til I felt "ready" at which point I joined and yet still was patient before starting my cycle....

I also felt this forum needed one more smartass so I thought I would fill that position.
